  1. The option to prebook has not rolled out. They said early 2024, hasn't happened yet. The credits only apply to a la carte restaurants. So It is $20 for JR or Playmakers, $39 for Izumi. The rest are flat rates of you order whatever. You can only visit the a la carte restaurants each, once a day. Since they require reservations, you can visit as many restaurants as possible that can accommodate you.
  2. Oh I know, we were on board barely after 10am on Wonder. The only reason boarding was weird on Mariner was it was the outside-like terminal and people boarding Carnival was in our terminal, despite the many announcements. The fact that they board so early and efficiently at PC is the only saving grace. It is so far from the airport, and well anything is why it's my least favorite FL port. The transportation time and fees are a real killer.
  3. Potato is so cute. My cat is named Senator Meowkins and we call her Sen for short. She always helps pack by laying in the suitcases and refusing to move. I am about 73 days from cruising Freedom, so enjoy.......but I am definitely the room doesn't matter camp.......but I am often solo, so the space is great no matter the category.
  4. Just an fyi but I believe Hibachi is the only restaurant that must be booked at the actual restaurant.
  5. I was going to mention the security check point. I haven't traveled from PC to PE but Miami to PE was traffic. It wasn't bad but factoring in that security stop is the most beneficial. I have seen it be slow because people had their passports in the carry-on in the trunk. Congrats on the S2S
  6. What he said definitely makes sense about the casino. I notice because I tip in the casino, my service is very prompt. But if you don't it is hard pressed to find a server. I also think that is why bar service is often hesitant, with the bartenders in the casino not getting a share of the grats.
  7. The only way I sleep in late is when I go back to sleep. Oh I wake up at 6am on vacation, but I don't get out of bed, especially to walk a track.
  8. It is Cruise Day!!!! Last month when I boarded Allure, I was onboard and done with muster by 10:18, has whatever happened with her been fixed?
  9. Do you know how long it will stay Dim Sum? We are sailing Quantum for Alaska.
  10. I do my walk along the track around 6pm. So many people are at dinner or getting ready for shows that it is the best time. I am up at 6am for work and not getting up extra early on vacation. Having done Indy, Mariner, and Freedom, there is a little bump/incline/chairs on deck, but it doesn't bother me. But oasis class have the best track because you are protected somewhat from the elements and aren't really surround by people watching you.
  11. @WAYNO This is how I got my Freedom B2B2B, I had a ton of free interior/Oceanview's from club Royale. They are all shorties or a random 5-7 nights in a place that the flight and travel time would make it not worth it.
  12. I am glad you had a wonderful time; I know what you mean when you say you enjoy sailing with friends and family. I enjoy when I cruise with the vintages, they provide me with so much entertainment. I just got a text about buying bear repellant for our Alaskan cruise in sept. Did Dan book another cruise already?
  13. I am a doing a B2B2B on freedom in May, it's a 4/3/4-night cruise for a total of 11days. I have some fears. I don't get off at PDCC or Nassau, the ports that will be visited. So none of those matters, I am worried about the food and pax though. I did a B2B on Navigator a few years ago that was a 5 and 3 night.......it was an experience.
  14. You can go to the LA and get the toiletry bag or call 10 days before you cruise and set your amenity.
  15. Hmmm I am sure someone will correct me, but repositioning cruises are usually for longer distances. I was on the last sailing for Allure out of Galveston last year and there was no repositioning cruise to Orlando. The crew sailed and then there was a special 3/4/5 night cruise I believe before Allure started her regular season. So Quantum might sail to LAX with just the crew.
  16. There is a luggage tag that comes with the D+ pin that says diamond plus and is just nice. It is hard plastic and leather straps
  17. If you are on time usually 7:30, but this is after key, suite and pinnacle guest. So maybe 8 at the latest.
  18. One original person must remain on the reservation. I imagine the OBC is tied to the reservation. So either you or your husband needs to be assigned and the OBC should be put under you. But if the reservations are linked, you can purchase the drink packages in cruise planner with the OBC.
  19. Since the reservations are in the other family name. You would need them to swap names. I have done this and it was still a mess. If you want to keep your room at the rate, you need to add fake names. Then have your wife and daughter added to the other reservations. Be mindful of any cruise planner purchases because they are tied to the reservation and not the person. Good luck.
  20. I think it is more so a lot of newbies don't really know the cost. Price a 3/4 night and then a 7 night. Sometimes it is as much and /or more. I feel like a couple of years ago this was true but with Oasis class doing shorties, it's not the case. I saw a 7n symphony that was less than a 4 night Utopia. I understand Utopia is new but that ship is only doing shorties. Royal knows what they are doing because people are willing to pay a premium. It's the marketing.
  21. Not really a lower price as shorter cruise cost more per night than a longer cruise.
  22. Thanks for all the replies. The plan was to bring my BC as backup. I am sending it right off to be renewed when I get back because my Alaskan sailing is in Sept and I know I will need it.
  23. I love how spicy Marley is, I just love penguins. I hate bugs but we went to the bug museum in New Orleans, and I was a little scarred from the experience.
