  1. Are they offering an option to change ships/itineraries instead without penalty, or are they just rerouting you guys to new ports with no option to make change? Just curious. Two years ago we had an itinerary change with Odyssey and they sent an email stating we could change ships/itineraries with no issue if we weren't happy with the updated itinerary, but in our situation they cut us from 7 nights to 6 nights and we lost Labadee port.

Whoo hoo! 10:30… Hopefully we’ll be onboard by 10:15.. You’ll find us at the pub having our customary boarding day Stone IPA…

Same! We make a B line to the pub first for a couple Boston Iced Teas, and because the bartenders are always determined to sugar up the kid right out the gate 🤪 he usually ends up with a Shirley Temple or something, and then we go do our muster drill station check-in lol.

  3. My March 2025 Adventure, and Sept 2025 Star both have excursions, dining, etc. offered too 🙂 I don't have anything booked yet past that point. But these are new, I checked a week or so ago and both of them didn't have offerings except the DBP at original price with no sale. Now I see sales on them....not paying $95.99pp per day on the DBP though...Black Friday better be kind lol.

    Good day all!
We are onboard as well. Just the two of us. You can find us either in the solarium… or at the pub… or at Giovanni’s eating pasta/pizza…or…

    Oh… and 78 days!!

    J&S

Once we ditch the kid...I mean..once we show our son how awesome Adventure Ocean is and he begs to stay there for a while, I guess me and hubby will be forced to spend some time in Solarium with adult beverages...sigh....Royal makes it so hard for parents 😎

  5. Most of our cruises have been GTY rooms, never had any issues. However for us, room location/type is not a priority, so we book gaurentees to save money. If your concern is that you might end up with no room if they overbook, I personally wouldn't stress over it. On I think last week's YouTube Royal Carribean Blog Live, someone asked the same question, and Matt's response was something among the lines of the likelyhood of you not having a room is like .000000001 percent (I think it's this video below). . But if you are very particular about the room location and type of room, then a GTY isn't for you as you never know where your room will be until very close to the sailing. For us it's fun because we get to experience all different floors, AFT/FWD, etc., and we find that kinda cool. Good luck!

Sales with Royal change every few days. Lately, they have been bouncing back and forth between the OBC offer and $600/$700 instant savings. For most of my sailings, it's pretty much a wash like what you have described for yours. However, with the 3 new ones I just booked Tuesday night, the net savings is lower with the OBC, not much, by about $100 on each reservation. I contemplated texting my TA to price adjust, but then I wondered to myself, what if I price adjusted, got the OBC, then used it for CP purchases, and then the price goes down somewhere down the road? I would need to price adjust again, I may lose the OBC with the price adjustment, but what happens if I spent it already? I figured that would not be worth the hassle, so I never texted my TA to price adjust on this one.

That is a good point...I figured we would lose the OBC with a price adjustment but to your point, if we spend it then that is a hassle right there. Although I won't be spending OBC for 2026 cruise till at least around Black Friday this year, so maybe I could get lucky but it's unlikely, and probably not worth it if it's a wash. I just wish they would just stay with one sale for at least a week lol. They are making me think way too hard for a vacation happening 2 years from now 😄

  7. Noticed the sale changed again already lol. For example one we looked at for early 2026 went up in price $75 but they are providing $75 back in OBC. Even though we will happily take OBC for our DBP, it still bites when the base price goes up...especially day 2 of releasing the new schedule 😐 (I know, I know better!) We were gonna book last night but didn't have enough time to pin down what we wanted. Guess we're gonna call our TA tonight and book one for 2026 before it changes again and goes up with zero OBC 🥴

Good luck out there! Hope everyone gets a good deal on their '26 bookings.

They will. We don't do much specialty dining but I will say that Mason Jar brunch is amazing. That's all I have booked right now ($20.99 during Black Friday). We turn D+ after our next cruise and will probably try GK for dinner with a BOGO in June.

I'm a WJ fan myself. The new layout on Wonder is very nice. I didn't spend much time there last June b/c family treated us to a GS so we were in CK and the suite neighborhood a lot since we wouldn't normally have access. I'm not a big MDR fan so I'm looking forward to checking out dinner in the WJ (even if it's after the MDR). I eat so much throughout the day that I don't need my dinner to be amazing. There's always something, somewhere... and then there's Sorrento's after that... which has actually been much better than in the past on my last 2 cruises and others have agreed on several different ships. The pizza seems to be much crispier and less of a soggy mess.

I've seen your blog comments before re. food, I think we are on the same wave length 😄  We always have late night Sorrentos, it hits so good every time. We just hit Platinum so we have awhile before D+ but it sounds like there's great benefits to look forward to. We have 4 future cruises booked and #4 will put us at Emerald...we're trying haha. All that to say, we do enjoy the food the ships, I know we will check out Mason Jar bar for some of those cocktails in there, but I might see if a deal comes along for Brunch...meanwhile i keep refreshing my page to see if someone gives up a lunch so I can swipe it lol.

I got an alert from the app about the deal and went to check my upcoming Wonder sailings (March, June, July). For some reason, Giovanni's lunch has always been missing (I might have considered it on Black Friday but it wasn't there).

In equally unhelpful news... dinner is only showing as 20% off.

Yeahh if it was 40% dinner I might bite...but Sorrentos it is! LOL. I haven't been on Wonder before but I feel like the complimentary options will suffice. We are #teamwinnjammer 😉 We like to experience and graze lol.

I'm probably  an outlier here, but we book, reserve, pay what we pay, & never look back. Absolutely nothing wrong with trying to save some $$$ and we sure as hell aren't loaded, but in our limited  experience and being our own travel agent has worked......for us.

BTW, lunch at Giovanni's on Wonder is a great experience no matter what you pay.😍

Your method is much less stressful than mine 😄 We really don't buy extras except for internet for longer cruises, and then the DBP. I reprice the DBP whenever I can (usually just once sometimes twice). We did Giovanni's on Odyssey and loved it so I was really looking forward to it, but I messed up by repricing. I should have realized that dining is more limited than a drink package lol.

  11. So I had noon lunch reserved for my upcoming Wonder sailing...and today this deal popped up (below). So I cancelled mine and immediately went to rebook and it was unavailable! I am so bummed. I called Royal and they checked to see if any other time or day was available and she said no 😞 Dinner is, but I was shooting for this 40% off deal. So just be careful out there if you are rebooking for the lower price!

  12. Me, hubby and our kiddo are taking advantage of Labor Day week. We snagged this opening day online and then transferred to our TA. Booked our first balcony 🤩! It will be AFT with what looks like will be a cool view of the Boardwalk and Aqua Theater (comparing to exact room location on Wonder..so we will see!). It rang in ~$1500 all in which wasn't cheap but not awful for 4 nights on a brand new ship during holiday week, right? And yes, I paid a little extra for balcony experience to surprise my boys..but it was "only" about $100 more than an interior so thought this was my best opportunity to give it a try!

Deluxe Beverage Packages for sure! Black Friday deal was not great, especially at a $120 pp sticker price 🥴...I'm hoping between New Years and 4th of July it will come down and get some of that back. Waiting on dining options to appear to see if I want to do a surprise meal one day for us. We don't usually pay for dining, so we'll see...If Giovanni's Italian is on there then I probably will, the boys are pizza addicts connoisseurs 😅
