  1. The only deal breaker for us would be if most ports are still closed or activities limited. We cruise for the destinations and wouldn't want a cruise of mostly sea days with only 1 or 2 ports.

We have even been setting aside extra funds in case we have to quarantine upon returning. The mask issue is also not a concern to us. I wear one 8 hours a day at work...I'd rather be wearing one for 8 hours a day on a cruise lol.

  2. Sailing out of Southampton on Explorer there was no smoking allowed at all in the casino and it was very nice to be able to walk through and play without being choked by smoke! And the casino seemed to still be packed every day.

We sailed on Harmony and the smoke was terrible in the casino, but didn't seem to spread to the promenade.

Celebrity Cruises also do not allow smoking in their casinos if you are willing to try another line ?

You know, I'm honestly a bit concerned that even if this restriction is lifted on July 1, Canadians are not exactly going to be welcoming of visitors from other lands. I posted on Facebook that I was sad that I wouldn't be able to visit Canada at the moment because of the restrictions, but I was looking forward to doing so in the future (via a cruise of some form), and I was nearly tarred and feathered, at least virtually. ?

Well as a Canadian I hope to be joined by many Americans (and other world travellers!) sailing from Vancouver on Serenade August 30!!

Clearly both the US and Canada are going to need tourist dollars when this is over. The negative commenters are being impractical. We welcome you once the borders open!

  4. We used GoPort last month. We had a later flight at 2pm so were last off the ship but they were great ! Easy to find and very organized compared to the other transfer companies I saw there which seemed chaotic. They had a list and just crossed your name off. Even at that time the bus filled up quickly and we only waited a few minutes.

  5. We are cruising to Alaska for the first time and looking into excursions in Skagway. We are really interested in doing both the white pass railway and Yukon suspension bridge. RC has two excursions and we cant decide. Has anyone done the Yukon Adventure and White Pass Railway or White Pass Railway and Yukon Suspension bridge ? Thanks!

  6. We just cruised on Harmony last week. We originally had an interior but upgraded to a balcony because it came down in price but I don't think it was necessary since we were rarely in the room. I agree with the Central Park recommendation, we spent a lovely hour with a glass of wine watching the amazing guitar player one evening he was fantastic. If you don't want to pay for specialty dining (we didn't) make a reservation one night at Solarium Bistro. Its such a beautiful setting to watch the sunset while you dine. Let them know it is your honeymoon. We went on Explorer of the seas for ours and they arranged a lunch for the honeymooners in the main dining room that was so delicious. The carousel in the evening is also a sweet way to spend a few minutes. If you are at all interested book the Escape Room. It was challenging and SO MUCH FUN!

We did the same itinerary as you but had to skip Costa Maya due to high seas. We had booked the Chacchoben ruins and Lagoon tour with Native Choice it seemed like it would be a really great day. If you like ziplining we had a really fun excursion in Roatan ziplining and playing with the monkeys in Gumbalimba Park

  7. We booked an interior promenade view room for a cruise in mid February so we are a couple of weeks after final payment date.

We've been considering upgrading an interior central park view and today that room is $700 cheaper online than what we paid.

When we called to ask about upgrading they said we would have to pay $250 more than what we've already paid!

Just wondering if that is a standard policy after final payment as we have been able to do it (and get some OBC) on other lines. First post and only second royal caribbean cruise so sorry if this is obvious!
