  1. Every child will have thr occasional meltdown. It's how it gets handled by the parents that is important. I applaud you for not backing down and most importantly for respecting the other diners that were around you.
  2. The island is designed for your situation but it may get expensive and crowded at the thrill park. The pool also gets crowded. I would plan to get up early to grab a good spot for the day.
  3. There will be shows that do not require reservations in the longes. The main shows on Oasis class require reservations.
  4. St Maarten is known for that. A lot of Europeans vacation there and it is common over there. I'm sure your husband wasn't complaining.
  5. Bring a printout, it may be looked at several times and it's easier for them to look at a printout.
  6. A lot of people are willfully ignorant. Unfortunately it often means they get upset about something that they would have known about had they done a little research beforehand. Cruises are a unique vacation and kind of have their own rules. Some don't care to try to learn them and often end up here complaining about something that was easily available.
  7. Biggest things are the date of test, type of test, lab that conducted the test, and of course the negative result. It looks to me like everything is there.
  8. People who allow their young children to play as if they were at an outdoor playground when they are actually inside at the Cafe promenade. Kids were chasing each other around other occupied tables. I really don't understand when it became acceptable for people to allow their children to bother other people.
  9. I highly recommend printing out your test results and set sail pass. It makes everything go much quicker at the terminal vs trying to bring up each separately on you phone.
  10. I just did Mr Sancho's for the 1st time after doing Paradise Beach several times. Myself, my wife and my 15 year old all agreed that we prefer Paradise Beach. It was nothing especially wrong with Mr Sancho's but Paradise Beach was better. We felt that because PB is pay as you go, that the food and drinks were better. We are not huge drinkers, but go enjoy a few while we sit in the sun. Mr S had just OK service- maybe it was a bad day but the waiters were not very quick. The food was also just OK at Mr S whereas we have always enjoyed the food at PB. I know Mr Sancho's has a lot of fans, which of why I wanted to try it but fir us Paradise Beach was the clear winner.
  11. I tend to book my own cruises and then transfer them to my TA (MEI). In the past, I have booked through one if the large online travel agencies, and also direct through Royal. I am also an over planner and understand where you are coming from as I don't really need them to assist in vacation planning as most others would want. All of the Covid cancellations and FCC issues along with issues applying the FCC made me rethink that for cruises. I spent WAY to long trying to get these issues resolved. A bonus was the repricing that MEI provides. I now get occasional emails from my TA informing me that my cruise has been repriced. I can also let her know to be on the lookout for cabin upgrades at prices I am comfortable with. For me, the TA is a safety net for when things go wrong.
  12. This will be true at almost all ports in the Caribbean. I always ask the person organizing the taxi rides at the station what the fare will be and verify with the taxi driver. In some ports you may share a ride.
  13. Yes, I'm on Liberty now. No masks, including ports (Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Roatan) - only boarding and disembarking due to federal transportation mask mandate. No social distancing at events, dance floors, etc You can sit at the bar again! No reservations for shows - except Ice Show. No checking in/out to windjammer It feels like Covid never existed!
  14. If you used a travel agent, you will need to do it through them. If you booked direct, you can just call Royal.
  15. The staff on the ship will go out of their way to accommodate. As said above, go in advance to talk to the restaurant Mgr. I'm sure they can accommodate with something your child can eat.
  16. We just got back from a great day in Roatan. We booked in advance for a private tour with Rony's Tours. https://ronystours.com/ We were picked up just outside the gate by Rony in an air conditioned van. The cost was $90 for 3 people. This is basically for a driver who knows the island and can customize your day. You pick what you want to do and he will let you know the cost. We had told him when we booked that we wanted to do zip lines and go to the beach for snorkeling. We decided this morning after having spent the past 2 days in Cozumel and Costa Maya at the beach to see about switching it from the beach to one of the monkey/sloth places. We told Rony when we got to the van and it was no problem to make the change. We also asked to have lunch at a place that served local catch seafood. He brought us to Pirates Cove extreme zip line which was a lot of fun. We went to Daniel Johnson's for the sloths and monkeys and then to Gio's for lunch which was amazing. I included a picture. Rony is great and the price for a private driver is well worth it in Roatan. There are many choices of things to do on his website and you can book a small group tour if you want to save a little.
  17. It's worth having a thread to thank you for all that you bring to the board! I hope you know that you are appreciated. Have a great cruise!
  18. The mask requirement is only for Adventure Ocean. They do not need to wear masks anywhere else on the ship.
  19. You should get the email soon. Usually 5 to 7 days out. Check your spam folder if you haven't already.
  20. Unfortunately, you must pay with your seapass.
  21. This is an area that I have always found was lacking.
  22. You can eat at any of them, or have the food delivered to your suite. Your star class genie will make all the arrangements.
