Kind of a funny story. I assumed the windows in the master bedroom were reflective and you could only see out, not in. So imagine my surprise when  our suite attendant Cami, showed me the privacy shade button at 9pm tonight that provides privacy for when you are in the bathroom. My response was: you mean these windows aren’t one way?  We had a good laugh about it.  🤣

We are in star class on this cruise, I’ve just been cheating and posting in Jax's thread and I apologise as I'm not trying to hijack her blog 😎.
But I will.concur with her, CK on night 1 was awesome!

You should get the double points if you upgrade as long as it isn't through RoyalUp. It won't change the reservation number if you pay to directly upgrade your room. 

And honestly, the more you touch and fiddle with your mask, the less effective it is anyway.

They will definitely extend it beyond that. Just the initial announcement. 

Coastal Kitchen Filet Night 
Filet night did not disappoint! My preferred steak is a ribeye but the filet was outstanding. Such a great meal!  
I received a last minute message from Shane that the request to have Robert & Tammy join us was not granted due to expected capacity. When we arrived without them CK was surprised and had to remove their table settings. Shane felt bad but we assured him It was all fine and we totally understand. 
For those curious there were no masks required throughout the entire meal.

We just rode in an elevator with 2 remaining guests who have still not completed the muster station.  🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️ They didn’t have a clue. They must have made it because we are cleared to sail! 
 

Oh no. Our room was ready as soon as Smitha brought us onboard. The general announcement came in around 1:15 pm.
The Star class check in counter is right in front of the suites door. Do not give your luggage to a regular porter. Hang on to it until they find you a star class porter. The star class banner was missing today. I guess it has been replaced by the counter.

4:42 pm and the announcement just came in reminding over 900 guests to go complete their E-muster and check in at their muster station 🙄

I find the price alerts to be useless.  They alert to when the price has dropped relative to the last check, not to what you paid, which, to me, is useless.  I gave up on them.

We’ve never been able to stay awake late enough to attend the adult shows. 

So far love it and everything about the suite! 

Dinner tonight at CK - Filet night 
Shane advised us that our friends Robert & Tammy will be able to join us at Ck tonight. This was a surprise and certainly nothing we expected.  #teamShane

Perfect Cay at Coco Cay - Floating Cabana 
Shane arranged cabana 16 for us which is says is an excellent choice. Forecast 26 and ☀️ We plan to arrive at approx 8am. Shane will escort us and hand us over to the coco Beach Club team.  
 

Sorry to keep you hanging….Lindsay loved the surprise upgrade! Shane is so great…More on that later.  But we hit the genie jackpot.

Let me try to catch you guys up. 
 
Took a taxi to Terminal. Took less than 5 minutes and arrived around 10:30. Hardly any traffic.  Pulled up to the purple banner.  Even when I said purple banner, Lindsay was clueless so the anticipation continued.  Once we arrived at the purple star class banner, we were greeted by the porter and our bags were left with them. We were asked to see our proof of negative test and then taken into the terminal.  Once there we showed our negative Covid tests again and went through to the suites lounge area.  Once in the suites area we showed our passports and proof of negative Covid tests (for a 3rd time). Within a few minutes Shane was there to meet us.  Shane accompanied us and another family onboard and up to deck 17. I already love Deck 17 and have officially joined the #teamdeck17 club. 

After speaking with Shane our understanding is no masks while seated dining.  And during entertainment no masks if eating and drinking. I will report back on this once I have more intel. But no masks were worn throughout our lunch at Portside BBQ. 

You had to wait until the rooms were ready for everyone ?

I have never asked for a specific Genie except for the time we were on Anthem for B2B SC.  Since we had Yen on the first leg I asked that we keep her as our Genie for the second leg also.

As long as your sitting with drink in hand, they don’t care so far….
