NCL casino was weird with me. I got a "free" cruise after sailing with them only once....and then not even a peep after that. Their "free" cruise is even less free than Royal's. In addition to paying taxes and port charges, they also charge a fee - I can't remember what they called it - around $175 so a free cruise with NCL is far from free.

i don't like cold water either. A number of years go we went to Puerto Rico to get on a ship and spent a few extra days on either end of the cruise. It was in December and I could not stay in the water....it was just too cold. That's one reason (along with the sun) that I normally avoid the beach. To quote my dearly departed father, "The beach would be great if it wasn't for the sun, the sand and the water". I guess I get it honest, as they say in the south.

Not only have some passengers been offered bids on rooms that don't exist on their ships but often times (even on Royal's own website !) the photos that they provide advertising their room categories are incorrect. Just be very careful. I would hate for anyone to pay for an upgrade that turns out to be not such an upgrade after all. Good luck !

I think the ambiance and service in the CK has as much to do with the enjoyment as the food itself. So glad you enjoyed it. I agree with you....having options outside of the MDR and the WJ along with the other wonderful suite perks are what make the suites worth the extra cost.

A word of caution though. Just be SURE that what you are bidding on is actually an upgrade. I have been reading some stories that the upgraded category that some passengers have been bidding on don't even exist on their ship. I would just be SURE that the category that they are offering you actually exists on your ship and that it is really an upgrade.

While Royal technically has a military discount, it almost never applies. I’ve received a military discount on Carnival and NCL but never on Royal

Congratulations ! What leads you to believe that the Masters benefits have been reduced ? I don’t know anyone who is Masters level so I have no firsthand knowledge. I do not have a list of benefits in front of me but my impression is that Masters gives you many benefit otherwise given to suites level pax. Maybe not all of the suites perks, but many of them.

Yes. Cancel the old one first, ten rebook the "savings" pkg. I did it the other way once and got SOOO confused about which one to <then> go back and cancel. Even after I thought I had done it right, I guess I didn't b/c when I got on board, the head waiter in Chops told me that I had paid for 2 pkgs so he cancelled one of them for me on the ship. This was for a dining pkg, not a drinks pkg but the story is still the same.

I would definitely ship Roatan. It (along with Belize) are my least favorite ports.

I did feel like the Q class ship (Anthem is the only one I've been on) was more crowded than any O class ship I have been on but it was not so bad that it made my cruise unpleasant. There is so much "open space" on an O class ship that people just scatter. I love both classes but still prefer the O class.

I think that on some ships the JR milkshakes ARE included in the refreshment package. You may, however, have to pay the cover charge and eat in order to get the "fee" milkshakes.

It (the hard sell) is very easily precluded. When I visit the spa for a service I put in BIG LETTERS at the bottom of the form you have to fill out NO SALES. It has worked 100% of the time.

Te Owner's Suite is SOOOO nice. Its my favorite non-Star Class suite.

You were able to get the same free drinks on Labadee that you got in the Suites Lounge without having a drinks package ? Was this just in the Suites area of Labadee ?
