    I think you will be happy with your O-T-W cabana choice. It is a wonderful experience. ....and think about it....how many people who booked cabanas, bungalows and clam shells for Coco Cay are going to NOT be able to get a corresponding experience on Labadee ? There are waaay more of these facilities available on CC than Labadee. Some people aren’t going to get them. Star Class WAS a huge advantage for this change of itinerary.

    I’m with you. On Oasis our sea passes were the color that Sky class used to have (kind of a purplish-red). Nobody got the deep purple (almost black) ones. I can’t actually recall seeing any Sky level sea pass cards so I don’t know what color they were. I prefer it the old way but it truly did not impact my experience in any negative way, so....

    2 weeks ago on Oasis, Dan had a white WOW band and I had a blue one. He used his, I did not. I don’t think there is a SC distinction for WOW bands.

    What a wonderful start ! So glad the pre-arrival tips were helpful. I never get tired of that NYC skyline from the river. I always get chills. I’m very surprised that your suite wasn’t ready until 1PM. I’ve never had to wait that long. There must have been an “issue”. Looks like the SC food coma is well under way. Great job. Be sure and order your seafood towers at Chops. It’s a right of passage for SC. Bumper cars tomorrow ? I hope your itin doesn’t get hooped up (see, I can speak Canadian !). Very happy to hear that Andres can still get you a cabana, if you have to settle for Labadee. I assume that means that there would not be any other ships there that day. Lucky.

    Yep, it looked like it was the whole corner of the MDR on 2 levels !! So glad to hear that nobody was seriously injured. The view from Oasis was really the best one. It doesn't look like Legend took any real damage at all. Probably just some paint.

    Twangster, did the noise issue on Oasis return after we disemarked or did they leave those speakers disconnected ? I was just wondering if they removed the speakers just to get us off their back or if they were really interested in solving the problem.

    Probably not a glitch. There are far more balcony rooms on an Oasis class ship than there are Oceanview rooms. Since Royal is now using computer programmed inventory pricing, the oceanviews are more "rare" than the balconies, thus the higher price. Once the balconies start to dwindle, the prices will likely switch. On the December 1, Oasis cruise I just completed, the oceanview rooms were the first to sell out. I recommend that if you are seriously considering this cruise, book a balcony now with a refundable deposit. You can always change your mind but the prices on those balconies will not be lower for long (my guess).

    This is very true. 20 years ago, when I first came into the "beltway bandit" world, ALL women wore dark suits, stockings and heels. Period. Not long after that it became much more relaxed and nowadays women in the workplace pretty much wear whatever they want to. Of course there are still occasions when you must dress more professionally, but the average day is no longer strictly suits for both men and women.

    I am so excited for all of you. This is going to be so much fun ! I wouldn’t stress too much about not having excursion plans. Sometimes it’s more fun just to wander aimlessly and stay close to “home”. Since you have the DBP, there is benefit to hanging out around the ship. Merry Christmas !

    No, you do not have to use the OBC first. We always have OBC on our account prior to the cruise but I "save" all of that OBC for when we are on board. You can either use it to make pre-cruise purchases or save it for use once you get on board.
