But Stephanie, shouldn't she wait until Royal contacts her so that she will get some compensation ? I totally agree with you that she should start looking for alternatives, and maybe even book something else with a refundable deposit, but I wouldn't think it would be a good idea to cancel the [potentially chartered] cruise until AFTER they formally announce it. If she cancels now she will get nothing for her trouble !

All of us are just guessing, of course....but I find it extremely hard to believe that a random Feb 2020 cruise is completely sold out. That normally only happens in the last few weeks prior to a cruise, if it happens at all (my 25 August Liberty cruise JUST came off the website a few days ago). I also agree with Stephanie that CS reps are a very poor source of factual information. I wouldn't count on their knowledge at ALL. I also don't believe that a partial charter would be removed from the website. Frankly, the only explanation that makes sense to me is a full charter. But it is just a guess based on past experience.

IMO, Luggage Valet is the best deal that Royal Caribbean offers. Absolutely YES, use it if you have the opportunity. It's been a while since we sailed on a ship/port that offered LV but whenever we find one, we ALWAYS use it. Not sure what you mean by "both".

This is all true. Trust me, it is NOT easy to get the original agency to release the booking. I only had to do it once, but if they decide they’re not going to release it, there is nothing you can do about it. Of course, they will lose any future business from you, but they were going to lose it anyway. They do not have to release your booking if they don’t want to.

When we sailed out of Terminal A in June we had the same problem (not being directed to the Suites elevator). Luckily we saw it ourselves or we would have missed the “short cut” up to the Suites waiting area. Isn’t it gorgeous ?! I think Miami is bad, in general, about directing suites guests to the proper waiting area. The same thing happened to us the last time we sailed out of a Terminal G but luckily we knew better and went to the Suites waiting area on our own.

Sorry you had to learn that lesson the $$ way. I certainly would expect the agency to track price changes but I wouldn’t count on it. You are your own best advocate. Keep in mind that if you decide to book another cruise on board, Next Cruise will automatically rebook through the Agency you are currently using so be sure and tell them NOT to use your current agency if you plan to make an agency change.

One things for sure. If they’re telling you that it’s in to be “new and improved “ you can bet it won’t be to the customers’ advantage. ’

The casino discounts aren’t as good as they used to be but they still beat full fare

The casino accepts cash only unless you use you Seapass to get gambling money and there is a 5% convenience fee if you do that.

Not only that but who doesn’t get their hair done just before a cruise, anyway ? I suppose that for a special occasion....maybe. I have honestly not heard any good feedback from this service yet. I don’t see this taking up Prime real estate for long...

Oh we are definitely related, for sure ! I purchased the UDP almost exclusively so that I could get a CANNED Coke and not have to endure that horrible Coke spewed from the Freestyle machine. I will drink nothing before I will drink any fountain Coke.
