Outlets Next to the Bed in Inside Cabin
WAAAYTOOO replied to RichardW's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
It depends on the ship. Most cabins do NOT have any power outlets near the bed but some of the newer ships do. Some cabins have a power outlet under the bed on the wall. If you use a CPAP, be sure and alert Royal Caribbean by sending an email to [email protected]. Let them know that you will need both an extension cord and distilled water and they will have both for you when you arrive. If they are not in the cabin when you get there, let the attendant know that you are supposed to have them and the attendant will get them for you. -
Price Raises - but OBC makes less

IMO, if the overall cost of the cruise comes down, even if the cruise fare increases, it is still a "win". -
Yes. 2 free days each.

Evil is a bit strong ?? I like the way you think. We were just in the Grand Panoramic and I will say, flat out, it is the nicest room we’ve ever stayed in (sorry...not supposed to end a sentence with a preposition). It’s big, comfortable, convenient and unique. Only Allure and Oasis have the Owners and Grand Panoramics. Plus...no stairs. Only 1 BR though.

Chops has a cover charge - set fee. Lunch is less expensive that dinner but the menu is also abridged. You can order as many appetizers, sides and desserts as you want, but just 1 main course/entree. You are welcome !

There are 4 ways to eat lunch at Chops on embarkation day 1. Purchase the meal in the Cruise Planner and pay full price 2. Purchase The Key which includes a specialty lunch venue. Likely, this meal will be served in the MDR vs the restaurant. 3. Purchase an Unlimited Dining Package (or be Star Class) 4. Walk up to Chops upon boarding and hope they accommodate you. You would pay full price for this meal. Please note that when we were recently on Oasis and Chops was closed on embarkation day. Only those guests with the Key were served Chops lunch; it was served in the MDR. As far as I am aware, the Chops on other ships are still open on embarkation day.

Carnival has a process something like this but Royal Caribbean does not. As Ashley said, if you already have a drink they will not get you another, but there is no time limit, either enforced or not enforced, on Royal Caribbean. I'm surprised that they would give you a drink with someone else's card. They ARE usually very strict about that.

Welcome to the blog, Dakim !!

Is yours an Asia sailing that is [potentially] affected due to the current medical emergency ? Believe me, I understand your frustration and disappointment...but what would be yours and everyone else's reaction if Royal Caribbean kept their ships sailing from a port from which a known medical emergency has sprung ? I'm sure (my guess) that Royal has chosen to relocate the ship(s) to a safer port of embarkation to HELP keep this situation. I do realize that the majority of your frustration is directed at the fact that you did not receive prompt notification of these changes and that you had to hear about it incidentally. This is going to be a financial disaster for Royal Caribbean. They have basically put ALMOST every new ship that they have built into the far east market. I know that doesn't help your disappointment, but Royal is doing this out of absolute necessity. Good luck with getting your holiday plans rearranged, and I mean that sincerely. I know it is going to be a mess for a while...just realize that while your holiday has been disrupted, Royal is having to deal with thousands and thousands of people in your same situation. My best to you, truly. ?

Breezy Bay at Chill Island vs chill island day bed on coco cay

It will be, too (relaxing, I mean). -
Hmmm....I agree with Ashley...if you only have 9 or 10 to choose from, definitely go with 9. We did deck 8 twice and deck 9 once and I can definitely tell you that the room and balcony are smaller on 9 than on 8. I don't know, b/c I was never in one, but I suspect that deck 10 is even smaller, yet. It's a long walk. Probably a bit longer than the Anthem trek but, as you say, you're used to it now so probably won't be that much of a burden. My advice to you is do NOT book a SC suite on 17 b/c once you do, you will never want to make that long walk again !!!! It sounds like it will definitely be worth it to you to use NextCruise. Those are pretty nice incentives. I'm not trying to talk you out of the ATS, but have you checked to see if there are any Star Lofts or the Grand or Owner's Panoramic Suites available ? It's true that the ATS tend to be the least expensive of the SC rooms (actually, the new Panoramic suites up front may have stolen that title) but Deck 17 is sooo sweet. I love the GPS. The room is incredible. The balcony sucks...it's really small, but it's more than a fair trade-off for us. We have the OPS booked 3 times between Dec 2020 and Jan 2022.

I only had 1 thing drop in price with the WOW sale and that was the refreshment package for our May 2020 Majesty cruise. It went from $28 PP/PD to $19 PP/PD. $19 is the price I have been paying for refreshment packages in 2020 so I went ahead and purchased it. The DBP was $51 and I think that's as low as it is likely to go. I am not buying any DBP b/c we don't drink enough alcohol to make it worth the cost (plus, we drink for free in the casino and Suites lounge (realizing the Majesty has no Suites lounge), if we need to) but we do want our water, juices and cappuccinos.

Seems like a bizarre glitch....but we can outsmart 'em !!! My recommendation would be to book a "ghost" 4th person and then just have that person be a "no show" at the pier. I guess the big question will be whether or not it increases the prices substantially. You could declare this person to be a minor and then when Kids Sail Free comes along, you could reprice the cruise. I don't even know the cut-off age for KSF...but I would make their age below that cut-off so that they would be "free" once the KSF starts.

Wow ! $40 PP. I thought I had a bargain for $50.99. Great job !!!

You are so welcome !!
