  1. I think the snake is a better guess than I had. I thought it was a cake with a candle. Looking at, what would be it’s head, I change my vote to snake.
  2. The Next Cruise folks cannot touch a booking that has already been made BUT there’s nothing to stop you from going to see Next Cruise and have them research whatever cruise you already booked. If the deal is better than what you have, you could book with NC and then cancel your original booking. Just be sure you book a refundable deposit the first time.
  3. We are sailing on Majesty out of New Orleans in May.
  4. Waiting is almost always a mistake. Booking as early as possible will generally net the best price PLUS you will have time to reprice if a better price comes along.
  5. Are you saying that you embarked in Nassau ? If so, then yes, you would have to have your passport. If you are saying that you just reboarded the ship after getting off for the day, then no. No passport is required.
  6. Recently it seems to me that the bookings that I have, that are more than 90 days in the future, are seeing very few price reductions on Cruise Planner items. Only when my cruises get within 90-100 days do the "sales" seem to benefit me. I think it will just be a waiting game if your cruise is 300 days away. You can certainly abide by the rule that we all use here - go ahead and purchase now and reprice when the price drops. The only downside to doing that is that it allows Royal to keep your money for a long time.
  7. Perhaps your agent was telling you that if you reprice your booking (any repricing is essentially a cancellation and rebooking) you would lose your original booking promotions. That is true. But if you still want to upgrade and don't care about losing whatever original booking promotions you had, your agent should be able to do that for you. This is true for North American booking rules. Other locations have different booking rules.
  8. Azamara has this feature, but I have never heard of it on any of the Royal ships.
  9. Phones are almost always dual voltage so you will be able to use the Euro adapter for these devices. Curling irons are sometimes dual voltage but hair dryers almost never are. If you plug MOST American hair dryers into a Euro converter and it is NOT dual voltage, it will burn up your device. Just be sure that your devices will be compatible with a converter.
  10. Make sure that your device (hair dryer or whatever) is compatible with the voltage.
  11. Yes, they will stock the fridge with beer, water, soda, juice, snacks but everything will cost $$ even if you have the Deluxe Beverage Package. They will not bring liquor to your cabin. The fridge will be empty when you arrive but the room attendant can get you a menu from which to order drinks that you want.
  12. They must be returned.
  13. I can just TELL that Heather is a very generous lady. The fact that she tipped the lanyard guy $88K doesn’t surprise me AT ALL. She probably just did that so that you would insist on being the one to go and fetch lunch from now on. She’s smart, too !
  14. Unfortunately, receiving a RoyalUp bid does not necessarily mean that the cabin they are offering you is available. ....but I think making a high bid will increase your chances should one become available. It certainly can’t hurt. The RoyalUp program is complex and IMO, the value of the room you are currently in, is as important as the bid you make. If you are fortunate enough to win a bid for an Panoramic Suite, you would get all of the suite privileges offered on IOS.
  15. Yippee ! So glad you were ahead of the wave and could get your flights changed before the surge. Flying is not for the faint of heart these days. You must be clever and proactive and it looks like you guys were both. Safe trip.
  16. The Grandeur Izumi has hot rocks but does not have hibachi.
  17. Don't you secretly hate those people who are going the opposite direction to you ? I know it's wrong....
  18. You might also try Facebook. Sometimes they will have cruise pages.
  19. I can tell you one to avoid ! Marriott Courtyard, downtown Newark.
  20. Hint for Oasis muster drill in the AT. Sit as far to the left (as facing the stage) and high up in the last couple of rows. The sun will not get to you there. Even if you have a different staging area, go and get your seapass cards scanned and then move over to the top, far left.
  21. I loved the AllAccess Tour. Do they still take you to the trash and recycling area, food storage and engine room ?
  22. YIPPEE!!! Boarding day. My favorite day !! Have a GREAT time.
  23. Yes, but unless you are at least Prime tier with Club Royale, it will cost you 5% to take a cash “draw” at the casino. You can get money through a slot machine against your onboard account without a charge.
