  1. There will still be some 270 noise even on deck 10 but not nearly the disturbance that there is on deck 8.
  2. I know someone who is going to be very excited about this post ! Yes, I’m looking at you, @SpeedNoodles.
  3. NICE. You won’t have any problems. We’ve had 2 separate SC cruises where we had additional friends cruising with us in non-SC cabins and in both cases they were always included in whichever plans we asked for…whether it was dinner, shows or being escorted off the ship at ports of call. The exception to this was, as you have already noted, admission to the Suites Lounge or the CK. But other than that, absolutely no problem. Just be discrete.
  4. A lot depends on how many “extra” people we’re talking about. Of course, @Mattis correct…the official answer is “no”, but if you are just looking to have 1-2 people join you for a show, my guess is that you will be accommodated. More than that ? It would put the Genie in a very uncomfortable position of having to really bend the rules. Don’t be “that guy”. From my experience, when you ask the Genie this question, he/she will recite you official policy and tell you that only Star Class passengers will be entitled to SC amenities. They will never put anything in writing or even over the phone, that contradicts official policy. But when you speak with them personally, they will let you know what they can and cannot do for you and the other passengers. My experience has been that the reserved seating for an extra person or 2 has never been a problem. Regarding food and drinks in the suite - this will not be a problem. More likely than not, you will have waaay more food and beverages in your suite than you and 25 people could ever consume. We have yet to be in SC when we did not have to tell them to STOP with the food and drinks ! It just keeps coming and coming and coming ! They do not care who comes to your suite nor what they eat or drink. I have had as many as 35 people in the suite for which food and beverages were provided. You do NOT need to worry about this one… I agree with @twangster. Leave the bears at home. They will be constantly trying to climb on the railings of the balcony and are likely to scare your neighbors. . …and the tip you would have to give your suite attendants for cleaning up after them would be prohibitive.
  5. Agree with @Matt. Pay of all but a small balance. There are a few things that you canNOT do once your cruise is paid in full so there really is no advantage to paying in full in advance (other than having it over with !!) so just leave a small balance. Congratulations on your cruise !
  6. Sorry to hear that. Try again. They will definitely allow you to change your room IF they have another one available in the same category.
  7. Even with a GTY, you can call and ask to be moved to another available cabin within your category. Maybe they could move you back to the original cabin. You won't know if you don't try ! Good luck and have a great cruise.
  8. Ahhhh…I see
  9. Remember that you can upgrade your casino comp to a suite and still get the double points. Then she could bunk with you ?
  10. In @Ampurp85case, if she booked a second person into the “paid” room and she stayed in the casino comp, it seems like it would be ok ? The second name on the paid booking would check in but she never would. She would just be a no-show for the paid booking. Would they cancel the casino comp just b/c she didn’t show for the paid room ? That’s the important question.
  11. I am not a huge fan of any of the big Broadway-esque productions BUT Royals “top notch” entertainment (particularly on the big ships) has been a very big draw and has, over the years, been a source of many new customers. It’s a double-edged sword though. Repeat cruisers get tired of the same shows and those big productions are expensive to replace. I feel sure that this move (away from established productions) is purely a $$ decision. I totally understand it but wonder if it’s short-sighted. I guess only time will tell.
  12. Better to have a studious towel animal than a dunce.
  13. If I'm not mistaken, back when the Oasis was first launched, they did allow public swimming in the Aqua Theater pool, but I don't think that lasted very long.
  14. That IS a surprise. Nice job !
  15. We are booked on this little shorty and then on the Christmas cruise that follows. Sure hope we get to go !
  16. Frankly, I'm surprised that they didn't just cancel the CP purchases outright ! That seems to be the default process for any kind of discrepancy. Glad you were able to keep the purchases at your original (lower, I'm certain) price.
  17. We took this excursion as well. One of the best excursions we have ever done. TBH I was surprised that I enjoyed the turtle farm. It is much more complex than I imagined it to be. Hell was kinda lame but the turtles and stingray city were awesome.
  18. Yes, as @TXCruisersaid, you only get back what you actually paid….so 100%, not 125%
  19. I’m actually surprised that they won’t allow a rollaway in the CLS.
  20. Absolutely. Just drop by Guest Services and ask for additional room keys. They do not care where anyone sleeps.
  21. There are a number of "us" sailing on Voyager 12-22-23 and some are staying on for the following 12-30-22 as well. The itin isn't all that exciting but it is pretty cheap for a holiday cruise ! The Christmas cruise is 8 night and the NY cruise is 6 nights. Come join us ! Also, I totally agree with you re: bypassing the Christmas mania. We have cruised over Christmas pretty much consistently for the past 15 or so years (until COVID) and can't wait to get back.
  22. I second this one. It is really fun.
  23. So very beautiful. I wish we were going to be able to see it, but alas, we had to cancel this one since we aren’t vaccinated. Hopefully next year we will be able to visit.
  24. One big advantage of having the Suites Concierge contact you pre-boarding is that he/she can make your dining reservations before you get on board. If you want any specialty dining or Coastal Kitchen reservations you can get the Concierge to make them for you. Obviously, cabanas are also possibilities.
  25. Thanks. I guess I just ignore the rules for the little ones as I have no one that fits into that category anymore !
