Required Covid vaccine not legal?
USCG Teacher replied to Jill's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Boy does this bring back memories. We were all air guns except for when we got stuck for smallpox just after 9/11. I'm extremely sad that '97 is now "far enough back." Looks like I got in just under the wire. Yay for me? -

Hoping to be a beacon of hope: my original appointment date was April 16th until I got a text on Sunday that there were appointments available this week for me. ?

Back on the positive side: got my 1st jab of the Pfizer yesterday. Feeling a little run down, achy and a headache, but given my autoimmune disorder, it's actually a far better outcome than I expected. I was shocked how well organized and seamless the whole thing was once I got the appointment. It was given in a "mega site" in Edison, NJ. The administrative/registration end was run by the National Guard while Robert Wood Johnson medical staff did the vaccinating and post vax observation. It was 11 minutes from door to needle. I literally spent more time in observation (15 minutes) than I did waiting and taking care of paperwork. Knocking on every piece of wood within reach, but it seems like they're starting to get the system down pat up here! ?

I was afraid I was the only one. I would also 100% have to purchase branded cruise wear from said cruise.

Thank you for the feedback, I'll reach out to the other agency and find out. If they will grant it, I plan on transferring it to an MEI agent. ??? -
Travel Agent advantages?

Okay @michelle, @Sharla & the MANY others on the board better versed in these things than I am, I have a question. What is the threshold for requesting a transfer of a booking to another agency? I book a cruise back in early 2019 for last summer with a friend of mine who worked for a fairly major regional travel agency. I "lifted & shifted" it to this August with her help. Since that time, she was furloughed, my booking was transferred to another agent, and then he was furloughed as well. I received an email from the corporate office of the agency with the name of my new agent, but I haven't heard anything from her since she took over a month ago (in her defense, I haven't reached out either). The only reason I booked with this company was as a favor to a friend, now that she's gone, I really have no connection to the company or the agent at all, and the current agent hasn't had to do any work on my behalf. They haven't done anything wrong per se, but the current agent hasn't sone anything for me, either. Is this a situation that would warrant transferring my booking to another agency that I prefer? Is it possible? Is it ethical? I'm not well-versed in the behind-the-scenes operations around who gets paid when and how to know if I'd be inadvertently hurting anyone who had worked with/fought for me (the original agent really had to log some serious time on the phone with RCI in the early days of the Lift & Shift program). So, the TL;DR version: I would like to transfer my booking to a different agency out of personal preference, but not at the expense of any individuals who put in work on my behalf. -

No official word yet, but both Seasons 4 & 5 released in December, so it's a fair bet that Amazon is at least targeting December 2021. Of course given the state of the world...??. There's always the books! -

Well, look at what showed back up in MyVegas today. I don't think it's indicative of anything in particular, but it's good to see nonetheless.

While I can't speak to Hyatt House specifically, I can say that Jersey City is a nice option for those visiting the area. It's very close to Manhattan if you want to hop over to see NYC, it is much cheaper than staying in NYC itself (and the rooms are generally considerably larger), it offers amazing views and has tons of really good dining options. Jersey City is an extremely walkable area, and when it's time to head over to the terminal, being on the Jersey side makes Ubers/Lyft cheaper and the ride easier. Just my 2 cents as a born and bred Jersey boy.
