Thanks! Yes, I believe that is an option, as well as smoothies in the spa. Hard to break him from the Freestyle machine though!

It definitely is... some adults who don't drink a ton have been known to use them for JR milkshakes. 😋

Hello and congrats on Diamond! My wife and I are Diamond as well and we had the same dilemma. Since we are not "drinkers" we had always purchased the Refreshment package on our cruises. Once we made it to Diamond, we dropped down toe the soda package and then use our vouchers for the various non-alcoholic drinks on the ship. With the newly expanded "zero proof" menu the vouchers are are great way to try out the menu.
Things to remember:
There are no refills on soda with the vouchers, so each soda is a voucher
With the Freestyle machine, the kid will have vastly more choices than at the bars
I would highly recommend getting them the soda package since they will probably go through more than 4 sodas in a day and if you get the price right it would be a better value.
Vouchers are "sharable" so if you have his card, you can order whatever you like (i guess his card "could" be limited to non-alcoholic if they are under drinking age, so you may need to figure that out, I have no children, so haven't thought about that until typing this.).
Good Luck!

Congrats on Diamond!
If there is a Johnny Rockets, could he use them for milkshakes?

Yes, you can absolutely do this. You'd just need to use his sea pass card when ordering the coffees. I often order 2 drinks at a time with either my card or my wife's card and never had an issue.

you just need his card and could definitely use his vouchers for coffees

Thanks, this is our typical experience as well, just concerned with the multiple embarkation ports. Our daughter would like hibachi on the first night for her birthday and I fear that might be a long shot waiting until we board, just based on limited capacity alone.

We have it booked. I thought about also booking unlimited dining and trying what you said. Think it might work? If it doesn’t it would cost us over $250 on top of the $1,000 package.

Nope, unfortunately not in a suite, two balconies were expensive enough! 😁
Might have to go with booking each separately since these are special occasions. Just really stinks to pay more for two nights than we would for three!

Do you happen to be staying in a suite? If so, the concierge can almost certainly make it happen. If not, I'd probably just book the specific nights to be sure, but I'm a fairly risk-adverse type person!

As long as you are flexible on days, times and restaurant, you will be will be fine with no issues. If you have your heart set on always eating at a certain time or want a certain restaurant on a specific day…then you may run into some issues

In April we took an XL Uber and with tip spent about $100 to get to the port. Since there was only two of us we took Goport back to the airport.

We are DVC and do Disney often. I'd Uber to Disney, then Uber to the port. We are the family that prefers not to have a car in Disney, we don't mind their transportation. And when I'm just done at the end of the night, or need to get to dining at a different resort and don't want to wait for their transportation, an Uber or Lyft is cheap enough that I just pay it.
Next week we are flying into MCO and ended up booking a ride service for $440 round trip. I gave in and did that because there are 7 of us on the way there and 9 on the way back, so I didn't want to waste time worrying about fitting all the luggage for a ten day vacation and getting multiple Ubers.

The nightmare is true since the construction started on the new garages a few days ago. But it also matters how many ships are in port. If you are on a 6 ship day, it will be ten times worse than a 3 ship day. I personally would be a little ticked to pay full garage price and be stuck out in a surface lot. I would get there early enough to grab a spot s someone is leaving but not so early that not enough people have left yet and you should be fine.
Have you considered another option, uber to a hotel very close to the port with a shuttle? Will probably be cheaper but yes, you do lose a little control because you are waiting for shuttles and it is most likely cheaper? Unless you were staying really cheap or free on your two days and then maybe not.

No waits at all for me and I even parked on Allure's first trip out of PC when both Wonder and Indy had passengers already parked and neither ship was disembarking.
The added surface lots provide TONS of extra parking. If you get there in the 9:30-10:00 range you should have no problem parking in the garage... taking the spot of someone who just got off Allure.

I flew into Daytona Beach (DAB) for Wonder in October. I rented a car to get from DAB to Cape Canaveral, dropped it off, they shuttled us to the port for free. We flew out of MCO, and on the way to the airport we used Go Port.
I bring this up because you do have the option of renting and taking a shuttle one way each. We used Avis in this instance.

I would and have chosen option #2. I have parked at terminal 1 many times and never had an issue. What time is your boarding? Get there before noon and there will be no issues parking.

Hi everyone, debating on what to do here. We’re flying into Orlando two days before a weekend cruise on Allure. Here are our options for transportation that would cost about the same for a family of four.
1. Rent a car from MCO ($125) and return it there before taking Go Port shuttle roundtrip ($240).
2. Rent a car for the entire trip ($300) and park it at Port Canaveral ($68).
The only other option is renting a car at MCO and returning it near the port, but that ends up costing well over $400.
I thought I was settled on option 2 since we would have the most control (no shuttles) but now I’m hearing nightmare stories about the parking situation at Terminal 1, particularly for Allure since it’s attracting more locals.
What would you do? Thanks in advance!

We had a last minute itinerary change due to the weather. They switched our Nassau day from Wednesday to Tuesday

I’m willing to bet they’re taking a wait-and-see approach. How long the Bahamas holds their ferries from operating will determine when they can restart excursions. Then Royal can decide whether or not to continue to offer them. For now I’m sure they’re content holding on to everyone’s money until everything settles. Just my guess.

Note that the Bahamas suspended the ferry service, so all cruise lines have pulled it.

Biff215 got a reaction from tangled1010 in Pre Cruise Test
We had someone in our Facebook group run into this issue but it was easily fixed. Her initial report said the day before but they immediately changed it. Our proctor asked us the time where we were so I would just make sure that happens. It’s doubtful they’re even in Texas or California anyway, they work from home. Someone mentioned theirs was from the Philippines!

Once I tested negative I didn't care anymore. It's very quick and easy at the port as you said. They just want to see your name, date of test, and "negative."
Waiting to be tested is the stressful part. Even if you feel 100% healthy you never know until the test pops negative.

Biff215 reacted to kjones123 in Pre Cruise Test
I was incredibly stressed over the whole testing process but looking back it was really no big deal at all. I don’t know what it was like for others but when we boarded it was very laid back and quick. We pulled up our results on our phone and they checked that the name matched with our passports and that it said negative. They never once questioned where we tested or anything. They never even mentioned the CLIA number. It wasn’t worth all the stress I went through one bit.
