Sorry, poor choice of words. It's my understanding, I can bring the bands on another sailing and have them swapped (?) for bands compatible on that cruise.

We were on the same cruise as @rjac . There were 8 of us and lots of bags. When disembarking we grabbed a porter and bypassed everyone in customs. There was one person in line in front of us. If you disembark early it my not be a big deal. If later, I know it saved us at least 30 minutes and well worth the extra $$ I tipped the porter. He'll watch your bags while you bring the car down, too! It was less than 30 minutes from the time we swiped our sea pass card to get off the ship til we were in the car and ready to go!

Thought about it but I think that will actually be more expensive than parking? Also when we get off the ship it'll be nice to just drive home. Go and be home in 30 minutes.

I'd almost suggest getting there at 10AM because the traffic builds up. It's better now with the new terminal and flow but still sucks. Have you considered an Uber since you mentioned only being 30 minutes away.

Man this is why I post here now and not cruise critic. You guys are nice and helpful. CC are some angry jerks. I mean some are nice and helpful but a lot of not so nice people. I only really sail Royal Caribbean so I might as well just post here going forward. Thank you again!

    VERY EASY.
Drive up and drop bags off. Proceed to park. Pay after. Automated but there are people in case something goes wrong. I walked but it depends on when you get there.

That's my experience. Harmony and Symphony have no problems exchanging old bands, but Anthem told me no.

Thought so, catch 22, United gets me to most places from EWR direct but they own(?) terminal C so my Priority Pass Lounge access is useless LOL! First world problems.

Yup....before the merger, Continental basically ran EWR. Other airlines were kind of at their mercy.

Quick Google shows it to be hit or miss if they are reusable on next cruise. (If the new sailing honored the old band.) Hmm.
Guess it doesn't hurt to try ?

I believe @sk8erguy1978 uses SWF and likes it.
It seems every time I looked at Frontier, although the base price was good, the added fees wiped out much of the benefit or I had to sacrifice non stop flights. Last thing I want is 6-8 hours for a 3 hour flight. Just never worked out for us. I keep looking though we usually end up on AA or Jet Blue.

We just got off Majesty on Monday. It was one of the Cuba-cancelled cruises where we received 50% of our fare back as a refundable OBC.  Upon boarding we ordered a drink, and there was a guy there pitching BOGOHO drink packages. After doing the math it was a $47.50/pp per day plus tip - which is a far cry from the $66/day last spring.  Normally my wife wouldn't get the package, but we were cruising without the kids, and to be honest the money was already "spent" mentally, so with a little bit of arm twisting she relented and we purchased the package.
On a side note, the refunded money covered drink packages for two, all the gratuities, and some other miscellaneous spending.  We walked off the ship with a final bill of only $94, after living large all week.
It was most definitely a great cruise. ?

From the linked article, I found this quote rather amusing (emphasis added):
My translation of this from corporate-weasel-speak to English -- "We're stunned at all these suckers paying a crazy premium to sail the same ship as last year, just to visit a glorified water park where we can charge them even more money. Guess it's time to raise prices for Coco Cay sailings another 30%!"

Nothing to be ashamed of (although I would have been too) we've all been tricked from time to time. A lot of people have tricks to get you to buy stuff. We are at the point where we ignore, keep walking, or if it comes down to it, be rude. They'll act offended, but they aren't. Enjoy the cruise!
Edit: Also it's a good lesson for us all, keep your guard up and trust no one.

I'm not sure if RC still has it, but in 2016 we did a Rum Tour.  It took us to Bluebeard's Tower and a pirate museum.  We got to sample more flavors of rum than I could even count then ended up at a fun bar by the tower and amber waterfalls.  It was a very fun day!!

An idea for the end of the day is to take a ride up to Paradise Point. It's a short walk from the pier (assuming you're not docked at the pier further away, then a short cab ride) and the views are amazing; you take a SkyRide to the top. There is a restaurant up top where we enjoy a bushwacker and soak up the views.

I didn't want to  hijack that other perfume post with my story... but, it made me think of something that happened to me and my ex husband, many years ago, in Kusadasi, Turkey.    We were on a smaller cruise ship called the MTS Triton (of the Epirotiki line).   Before we got to Kusadasi,  we were given a lecture on the ship, regarding all of these rip offs that would face us as soon as we disembarked.   One of the warnings was to NEVER BUY THE PERFUME that guys are selling out on the street around the port.   For some reason though, as soon as we got off the ship and was out on the street, this advice magically just disapeared from both of our minds... like a spell was cast over us, (haha).  We instantly fell for it and bought like 3 bottles of the sealed, expensive name brand perfumes...  It wasn't until we returned to the ship that all of the sudden it hit us and we remembered the lecture.  We went to our cabin and opened the sealed packages and sure enough... the bottles contained dirty seawater.   We were so ashamed that we took the bottles to a public trash container on the ship and discarded them, so that we did not have to admit to anyone that we had been so stupid and gullible.  lol     So anyway, I was just wondering if this is still an issue at port's around the world... I would imagine that it is...because obviously, it works... on some of us simpletons at least, lol.    This upcoming cruise for me will be my first return to cruising since then (1994).... don't worry, if it still is out there , I will not be a victim again! ?
