  1. I have no idea what the future holds, but a debt realignment bankruptcy filing is certainly in the realm of possibility. If this were to occur then your stock would be worthless.
  2. The CWC fine print says you can not use the FCC to rebook the same itinerary that the FCC was “earned” from, you can however pay cash for the lower fare now and use the FCC in the future. Unfortunately I believe it’s all academic as this cruise will not take place.
  3. When it’s time to get back to work, crew members will be beating down the door at the HR offices to get on board.
  4. In Texas the liquor stores deliver. Our shop of choice guarantees a 2 hour delivery with a $50 purchase, order, pay online and sit back and wait.
  5. In addition to the depth, I believe the turning basin will also need to be widened for an Oasis class ship to make the 180 degree turn
  6. Pretty sure SOLAS MANDATES passengers physically gathering in their muster locations
  7. Generally speaking the plan covers drinks $13 and up on Oasis and Quantum class ships. With the exception of some wines by the glass and some higher end scotch, I can't remember ordering anything not covered 100%.
  8. There is a higher likelihood of FCC going unused with the current policy; hence its better for Royal, and will not change.
  9. I cancelled about $1800 in cruise planner items on 4/10, I received 100% credit to my AMEX today, 4/21
  10. If your flights were cancelled you should have been given the option of a full cash refund
  11. Excellent advice above, for frame of reference the on board price when i was on Oasis in February was $79 PPPD
  12. Isn’t anyone a little bit concerned about that pesky July 24th CDC lock out??
  13. Sorry, but I don’t trust a single line in an article from TMZ
  14. That would be interesting to see. We have friends that own 3 Chick Fil A franchises, I need to ask them about the cruise, they have been on one that I am aware of.
  15. Thank you for your input, some feel it is in poor taste to even bring up the subject Cheers
  16. I was replying to a poster they was considering purchasing a cruise they know will be cancelled just for the extra 25% value in the FCC, I am of the belief this person is doing OK financially. Knowledge of all possibilities is a public service, sticking your head in the sand and pretending everything is rosy helps no one regardless of their current economic situation. You know nothing of me, or of my heart. Insinuating nefarious intent is uncalled for.
  17. Let’s look at the past 5-10 years. How many multi billion dollar companies have we seen file bankruptcy to re organize debt? Airlines, auto manufacturers, hotel chains, oil companies and on and on. The length of the list will stun you. it’s not creating more issues by mentioning the possibility, it’s a very valid piece of information one should take into consideration when choosing a FCC versus a refund.
  18. The 125% FCC will be worthless after the bankruptcy filing
  19. Yes, #1 is what i posted above; #2 is a declaration from the CDC (which won't happen without corroboration from HHS see #1); and #3 is the passing of 100 days I stand 100% behind my above post, respectfully IMO one has their head in the sand if they believe it is an in-accurate statement.
  20. The only "whichever comes first" provision is Health and Human Services declaring Covid-19 no longer a public health emergency; I don't believe anyone can think that declaration is coming anytime soon.
  21. It is not obvious at all, charter contracts are not at all what the contract an individual has with the line. It is spelled out in very clear and definitive terms the refund options. Follow up articles have intimated that the charter company received full refund and it was the charter company that tried to push the attendees to commit to next year's Nurse-Con.
  22. The publication date is April 15, there is no further debate about that. Without further intervention the order will expire July 24.
  23. Maybe I’m wrong (wouldn’t be the first time) but I don’t read this article as lessening the the CDC order to 80 days; rather this article is referring to the original 120 day order being downgraded to 100 (article written April 13) The document in the public inspection section of the federal register still shows 100 days and is due for publishing at midnight.
