  1. Yes I have seen it in shops all over the Caribbean but you will pay dearly for it. You would probably getting it cheaper on line. On some of the web sites for the Blue mountain if you buy the 5 pounds lots it comes close to the price you would pay in Jamaica. Be careful about the fake stuff and the blends, they are not the same as the real deal.
  2. A lot of the hotels near the port provide transportation to the pier.. Check with your hotel!
  3. Ask your room steward if he has any spare bathrobes you could use. The worst he could say is no! Relax and have a good time ....remember ....your on vacation!
  4. Also there will be a cruise planner brochure left in your room every evening telling you the activities for the next day. Look under dining section, and like SPS said there will be dollar signs next to the venue that will have a charge. No dollar signs would indicate a free experience. Good luck on your cruise.
  5. I ll bet the pucker factor was right near the top of the scale, especially for the ones that are new to cruising!
  6. I stopped smoking in the 70s but it doesnt bother me enough to quit what I m doing and leave. If we can put a man on the moon why cant we develop a state of the art filtration system that would take care of this problem?
  7. We stayed in a Loft Suite (first time in a LS) last June on the Oasis. As far as the Aqua show, I would get there at least 20min early. The line for the people with reservations and suite guest was the same line, no special line for suite guest but there was a nice lady checking sea pass cards for the suite area. There was a line on the left side of the theater for people without reservations to be let in 10 min before show time and this is where the problem started. Before they let in all the suite guest and people with reservations someone opened up the line on the left. It turned into a major cluster. Needless to say there were some very upset people. The moral to the story is to get there early whether you have a reservation or suite guest.
  8. My would be like the Bill Murray movie "Groundhog Day". It would just go on and on and on and on............
  9. yes, all the cruises I've been on there is always a steak to be had in the MDR menu. If not ....ask your waiter.
  10. We've stayed at Radisson 3 or 4 times. Nice place with a good pool area. They have a shuttle or when it was real crowded one time we took an Uber which was about $12 for 4 of us. Good luck, relax and have a good time.
  11. This is a long standing debate on here for years. I have seen everything from shorts, t-shirts and flip flops (and that was on formal night) to tuxedos in the MDR. Probably the only thing would get you turned down in the MDR would be swim wear. Relax, your on vacation so dont worry about what others are wearing. Your suggestions of dress pants and button shirt on formal night are fine. Jeans and collared shirt will do just fine on other nights in the MDR.
  12. If my memory serves me right, I believe they have coffee mugs that are good size in the gift shop. So if you are planning on buying a little something to remember the cruise that might be an option instead of dragging your own mug along.
  13. Try not to over plan your trip. If you try to account for every minute of your cruise you will probably miss out on things you will discover just taking relaxing walks around the ship. Remember your on vacation. Take it easy and sometimes just go with the flow. Good luck and have a good time!

    Casino

There was a casino in the Old San Juan Sheraton which is directly across the street from where your ship will dock. At least it was there when we stayed at the Sheraton about 3 yrs ago.
  15. We were in LS rm 1756 last June on the Oasis and I would chose the LS. 1756 is close to the elevator and like others have said, the convenience to the Coastal Kitchen and Suite Lounge was worth it. The large walk in shower with two shower heads and a rain shower head in the center was really nice. Also a room close to the elevators had no noise factor. Congrats and good luck in the future
  16. Phone room service when you get up and order a pot of coffee for the room. Its a free delivery and much better than the coffee maker in your room. By the time you run through the steps of making coffee in the coffee machine they will have the coffee in your room. I always leave a tip.
  17. If you are in a GS or above they will do a complimentary press before formal night
  18. The second thing I do when I get up in the morning is call room service and order a large pot of coffee for 2 According to how early you get up how fast the coffee arrives. I m a fairly early riser so it took about 15 min. It is complimentary but I usually tip from $3 to $5.
  19. We did a Med cruise several years ago but started out in Rome and did a pre cruise 5 day tour of Italy. Rome was a 2 day tour and that wasnt nearly enough to see it all. You will probably have a choice of Vatican City or the ancient ruins. A tour of the colosseum and Forum will take up most of a day. as will the Vatican tour. The Naples tour we did was Pompeii with a stop at a cameo factory. Pompeii was worth it but a lot of walking. The cameo was nice but only if you like cameos and of course they hard sell you to buy some. There was 2 or 3 hours left when we got back to Naples. If your hungry when you get back find a pizza place near the ship to eat as it is the birth place of the pizza. There is a big palace near the ship that is a beautiful place to visit but hard to find the entrance. If your interested let me know and I will try to figure out where the entrance is. Good luck and read some travel books to help in your choices
  20. You will barely scratch the surface at any of the theme parks in Orlando for that short of a time.
  21. We were in a loft suite for the first time last June on the Oasis and really enjoyed it. I doubt you could tell much of difference in balcony sizes so proximity to the elevators and coastal kitchen/suite lounge should be more important. We were in room 1756 so like Tonyfsu21 said being close to the lounge was nice. Another thing nice about the LS was the size of the shower in the upstairs bathroom. It was a large walkin shower with a shower head on both sides and a rain shower in the middle. I noticed on the pictures of the Harmony that the showers are the bathtub types. Dont know why they changed but the walkins are so much nicer.
  22. I agree with the opinions that the food is better at the specialty restaurants. The big question is it worth the extra money. In my opinion....no. The MDR servers excellent food and the difference does not justify the cost. You already paid for the food in the MDR.
  23. I m going on the Harmony next year so when I get my WOW bracelet and the color doesnt match my outfit will I still be able to get past the fashion police IN the MDR on formal night.
  24. The dress on formal night runs from tuxedos and formal gowns to shorts, flip flops and tee shirts. They would probably ask you to go back and change if you had on swim wear. So it would depend on whether you cared what someone else thought about what you are wearing! LIke Twangster said it has been a hotly debate subject for years.
  25. Just out of curiosity .....who will clean up the mess after the animal has an accident? Would it be too emotional for the owner to do? Will they have wash stations all over the ship to wash your shoes when you step in it?
