    Who told you about reuse?

I've just sailed on symphony, and muster station info is now on wow bands.

So you'll need to buy a new one, plus every muster station is different color bands.

You can't even pick a color.

    But it's only $5.

Apparently they have been either reprogramming them and ignoring the muster assignments or they have been allowing you to swap them out

Leaving on Explorer of the Seas next Tuesday and have a question about the photo packages.  I believe Matt spoke about this on one of the podcasts.  We are traveling with our kids and grandkids.  Our son has 3 children and one of them will be in our stateroom.  I guess I'm not sure how it works.  If he was to pay for the photo package, as long as he is in the photo, it's included?  So if our granddaughter is in the picture, that's ok too?  We would purchase it but we want the pictures with all of the grandkids and they are in 3 different staterooms. I think we would have to buy the ackage for all 3 cabins if we did that though.  Thanks for the help!

I would have your son put the photo package under his name.  This way it will cover him and everyone in his stateroom.  It will also cover any of HIS children up to the age of 21 regardless of the stateroom they're in.  All you would have to do is make sure you are in a photo with anyone in your son's cabin or his children.  When they asked for the cabin number, my wife always gave them ours and never the one of the kids.  Thinking about it afterwards, it ensures they all ended up under my name even though the kids cabin was linked and would have been included anyway.

I've never had an occasion to request a refund at check-out (a credit back to my credit card).  Something usually comes up along the way.  I mentioned the casino as I sometimes play there and taking an advance from my seapass is more convenient than carrying around a lot of cash on the ship.  I would check with Guest Services on the ship if you anticipate having a positive balance at the end of the cruise.  The nonrefundable credit gets wiped out if not used, but the refundable should go back to your credit card, as I've been told.

I don't ever plan on having that much OBC left over, if anything, because with 6 of us $600 always goes towards gratuities.  I know they use non-refundable first so I was just curious if that was able to be taken out via the slots in the casino like the refundable can be.  The refundable OBC does go back to the card as you mentioned.

What time does the club area for the 13 year olds stay open until? If staying past 2200hrs do you pay by the hour? Does anyone know the cost? Thank you!

For 12 & up the club can stay open up until curfew which is 1:00am  There isn't a charge for that age group because they can come and go as they please

They did this on our last sailing to two people in our party. I wonder what was wrong with their pictures?

It has to meet the same criteria as a passport photo and I also believe so that it can be used with the facial recognition software

Thank you, is there a free beach in Cozumel?

I don't think they'll be any that are 'free' but many had a basic cover charge.  We went to Paradise Beach and you just had to purchase (I believe) $10 minimum food/drink per person.  Just a cab ride over and back and that's a pretty inexpensive way to chill at the beach.

is it really?!? I didn't know that!  I thought it was all Royal employees that handled the photos.

I could see the print on demand only....has to be WAY less waste.  I really wish they offered individual digital.  Oh well!

The photographers are probably contracted through Royal just like the designer shops but the company in charge of it all is called The Image Group

And depending on their ages, it would be less expensive to get them now. My oldest was 15 when we needed them, so I got the full passport at the "15 and Under" rate that will last him 5 years.

Thanks for pointing that out. My 2nd oldest will be turning 15 so I need to capitalize on the lower rate before we sail next year.

Where in the cruise planner can I find the photo package?

As the others have shown is listed under Internet and more. However it sometimes doesn't show up until closer to your sail date. Mine did not show up until I was within 30 days

@PatsFanBrian UGH! That's what I remembered the last time we looked into it.  At that time, everything was printed and on display.  I was hoping they changed to a digital option when switching over to the kiosk.  Guess not!  Thanks for the reply!

You have to remember it's a 3rd party company not Royal. With that being said on our last sailing, I was told photos will be printed on demand only.

Bringing this thread back from the recent dead....

...is there an option onboard to purchase single digital photos?  I would prefer the digital download to a print, but don't think we will get the value of the photo package.  Its been a while since we've ventured into the photo area (before they switched to the kiosk) and I cant recall if its only prints that are available for purchase onboard.

I didn't see this as an option and don't think that they would offer it. Good question though.

These “one-post-wonders” are a pest infestation all over Internet forums. Ignore them and FGS don’t feed them!

Even with most one post wonders, I can understand coming into a place to "vent" where others may have experienced something similar and/or can relate.  But having already made up their minds about the company, and then lurk around the boards waiting for that one specific post that coincides with their experience, makes no sense.  I already spend way too much time online looking up stuff I'm interested in.....definitely don't have time to troll.

I am baffled. We gave RC a pre-pay Revolut Mastercard card to swipe when we boarded. I topped this up as we went along, but when we came to leave the ship we were stopped at the gangplank and had to queue for an hour to pay 'an outstanding balance'. By the time I got to the desk I was too exhausted to argue so paid what they said I owed. When I got home I checked my Revolut statement and found that at the time I tried to leave I had in fact already paid more than the total bill and when I added up what they took in total it was twice my bill. I did get money back about 3-4 weeks after after making 2 phone calls, but I got no explanation or apology. I put in a complaint and got a call from RC, but what I got amounted to a justification and there was certainly no intent on RC's part to look any further into what happened - it seems this kind of treatment is normal, well it's never happened to me before with any other cruise line, car hire, hotel etc, and it won't happen again with RC as I will not be taking any future cruises with them.

Is it just me or has anyone noticed that some members that have said they will never sail with Royal again, it's usually their first and only post and that post is always towards the tail end of a topic, that they didn't even create.....but yet they are on a Royal Caribbean based forum.

I was on Allure recently. I can say for sure that the arcade was not so so, it was terrible! I’m not a complainer and this is probably the first negative thing I’ve said about a Royal experience but the arcade really was terrible. I think they were fewer than 10 games, a couple of them were price games, a couple were games for very young kids, and then there was driving game or two.

I remember the arcade being so small, that I assumed it was just an add-on to a larger arcade so I went looking for it. Turns out the closet that I was in was the actual arcade.

If I remember correctly the arcade credit is something like 50 bucks. I don’t remember how much each game cost but what was available was not enough to hold my attention to even spend five bucks.

I don't think you realized there are 3 arcades on Allure.....there are way more than 10 games.  You must have only gone to the one inside Adventure Ocean.  That being said, it's still a waste of money.  The games ranged from $1.50-$3.50 but the majority were $2.00 each.  The issue that I had were some of the games didn't work when swiping your Seapass.  Came to find out it was billing us but the games weren't starting.  I easily got credited back at Guest Services because I kept track of how many games they had actually played.

In our case on the Mariner last June, we had an informal agreement that it was going to be one device per family/stateroom with a 4-device VOOM package.  No logging in and out of devices.

I shared my package with 2 other passengers and after a day or two of getting knocked off I sent a message to both explaining to logoff before logging on another device and didn't have any issues afterwards.  But it absolutely can be a pain if you're not expecting it.  Still isn't enough to keep from not doing again because I still saved a good chunk.  Plus I know if I really need access I can knock them off and they can log back in.
