I recommend going with what the world gives you. My nephew popped the question during a Royal photoshoot on the first formal on Liberty two weeks ago. 
 
It was a formal night; the Royal photographer was there;  and the dinner guests waiting for their seating, Boleros crowd, and the rest of the promenade gave a raucous ovation when they saw what was happening. In short, it happened just like it was a movie.

The disadvantage of maximizing your time in Central London and staying there until Cruise morning 😕
 

Inquiring minds want to know. Any physicists out there? Why is that when you are on the ship, time moves at a breakneck speed, but when you are sitting in your hotel waiting for your cab ride time moves backwards?

While it’s no afternoon tea at the savoy, having an Uber Eats delivery of pizza to the hotel last night at 11pm as we fought off jet lag and worked on changing our internal clocks surely hit the spot. We are all awake (it’s currently 5:26 local time) and ready to go!

It’s cruise day!!!!

WOW !  I don't think we can blame this one on @Lovetocruise2002though.  I seem to recall that @Raywas the rabble-rouser for this one !  LOL

I know that @Lovetocruise2002has an impact on people wherever she goes. But just a few days there and the Prime Minister resigns??😂

Despite the long line, it only took us about 20 minutes to get through border control. We then had a nice surprise at baggage claim, the app was wrong and all of our luggage was on the carousel waiting for us!

 
we also booked blackberry cars for a ride to the hotel in Southampton. It was super easy. Our driver met us outside baggage claim and whisked us off to our hotel.  We landed in London at 7:35 and we’re at our hotel by 10:30. Rooms weren’t ready so we ventured off to keep ourselves busy for a while.

We have made it! Currently snaking our way through the long customs line. Johnny is too young to use the really fast E-gates. 
Only 3 people checking passports.

I will tell you what @Neesatold me in March, you will still look fabulous, lost luggage or not. But I feel your pain lol
It really did feel like we were in the movies. And it was such a treat to be able to walk through the sets they used for filming. 
 
You are right, this cruise is not about the ship at all. Like I mentioned originally, I would not even have picked Anthem if a smaller ship was available.
We count our blessings each day. It really is an amazing opportunity to be able to come back to London again, especially in light of the last few years.
We were last in London in 2004, pre-kids. It was one of my most favourite vacations. Not much has changed here, but yet lots has changed. Hubby has spent some time trying to re-create shots from 2004 😂
If you have followed my blogs in the past, you will know that is not where you would find Hubby lol

I'm at huge HP fan so we did the tour too, it was excellent.
I even dragged my family to the London Zoo but then they surprised me and took me to platform 9 3/4.  Got one of my favorite picture of me grinning like a loon and my daughter rolling her eyes.

Delta lost our luggage for 3 days, we only had our carry on.  We always packed an extra set of clothes in our carryon so we just washed one set and worn the other until our luggage showed up (in a flat with a washer)
I love the looks on your kids faces, I bet they were so happy!!!

Welp…….we have made it to Philadelphia. We are currently relaxing in the admirals club and I think we have just encountered our first travel hiccup…
there are supposed to be 4 bags there. We watched them unload our luggage, and my garment bag with our fancy clothes did not come off the plane. Oh well, there wasn’t anything important in there so all is not lost. Maybe we will be surprised when we get to London.

The other neighbor (neighbour?) is on the way!!!! Currently sitting at the airport waiting for our flight. So far everything has been smooth sailing. 
 
we started our morning with 4 negative tests!!

My dad picked us up to bring us to the airport. All morning the kids believed our white lies about why they were taking COVID tests and everything else. Conveniently my son didn’t notice that we weren’t loading up any of his TaeKwonDo gear for summer camp.
Once we got to the airport, we let them in on the secret!

needless to say, they were a little
shellshocked!
Next stop Philadelphia!
 

Praise God! We are all negative! This was the most nervous that I have ever been for a sailing! 

All our bags are packed. Checked in for our flights and hotel. Practice COVID tests all negative. Surprise is still intact. 17th hrs until we board the plane!
