  1. Yes, RT-PCR is accepted. Welcome to the boards!
  2. You will be just fine with the rapid test you have described above. That is a solid backup plan.
  3. I’ve used Trip Advisor/Viator a bunch. Always been excellent!
  4. I think he means he made a mistake — maybe commenting on the wrong thread or something. We can’t delete our posts but we can edit them. Sorry I don’t have an answer about Izumi for you, but I bet someone will! Welcome to the boards!
  5. I just did one of these today with my phone propped against a book. As long as you can get the phone nearly straight up and down and still have access to the camera in the back, you're good
  6. I really enjoyed the offerings at Cafe270 on Spectrum. And while it could get a bit crowded I was impressed at their ability to move people on through. Definitely give them a try!
  7. If you want to use the chat feature, you must be able to install the app on whatever device you want to use and that device must have wifi capability. Cell service does not matter.
  8. We were on a ship that was headed to dry dock shortly after we debarked. While there were certainly some "rough edges" in her appearance, we ended up scoring some great deals on wine -- they were trying to reduce inventory and had a lot of random single bottles. I think we averaged about 45% off all our wine. And we had a fun time with the sommeliers! I recall a lot of shop sales, too!
  9. Usually when they say "no out of pocket costs" that means with an accepted insurance. Typically that will mean a US insurance provider, so likely there will be a cost to you. I have not used this particular company, but they are a large, multi-state operation with good reviews so I would not hesitate to use them if I were you.
  10. Welcome to the boards! You may have luck posting in the Roll Call for this cruise:
  11. To answer your question, no they will not have Diamond status even if they are in the same room, unless you turned Diamond before they turned 18.
  12. The adults don’t need their own app, but they do need their own accounts. You can just do them on after the other on the same device, logging out the prior person and in the new one. In fact you only need the app to display your results — if you choose to print them out you can print the pdf that gets sent to your email. You still need an account for the app, but you can also make one on their website.
  13. Welcome to the boards! Here are a couple of threads where people make suggestions:
  14. You will actually see a charge each day for that day's gratuities, so you will use up this credit before the end, no worries!
  15. No upload for test results, only vax card. Just bring the results with you when you board.
  16. Hi! Welcome to the boards! I have had "mystery" credit show up on occassion, in fact I got some for my upcoming June cruise. Sometimes it comes from your travel agent. Sometimes you never find out why. It is unlikely a mistake. You can definitely use the credit onboard for gratuities (or any expense). Enjoy your cruise!
  17. Yes, this is acceptable. PCR is one type of NAAT test (the most common).
  18. The ships I have been on have all had a small selection of items in the shops. Like if you forgot your toothbrush, or needed antacid, or whatever. I can't swear they all have such a thing, but it is likely. However, the shops are not always open! Best to pack carefully And of course most ports will have drugstores or convenience stores or whatnot close to the pier.
  19. Yes, you will receive an email. In general, they show up 14 to 5 days prior, in my experience. Definitely ask them about reservations and they will get you fixed up in most cases. Enjoy!
  20. It comes from your health care provider and documents when you were ill with Covid, so it only applies if you've had Covid and usually only on a fairly recent timeframe.
  21. It should be listed in you Cruise Documents. Often 3rd party tours will be aware of docking times and work with your arrival, since likely all their customers that day will be off the ship. Just talk to your provider to confirm.
  22. It is valid on 5+ night sailings.
  23. As the program stands now, each cabin is treated completely separately and there is no way to bid and be certain of connecting rooms.
  24. There's a Renaissance by Marriott right next to the dock in Curacao. Not sure if they are currently doing day passes but it would be worth it to reach out -- you can walk to it from the ship, it has an amazing pool and a casino if you're so inclined.
