According to the agent I spoke with on the phone:
Choice: 1 - 2499
Prime: 2500 - 24999
Signature: 25000-99999
Masters: 100000+
Is that how much money you spend in the program year?

I just got an email today confirming I’m in the Choice (lowest) tier of Club Royale. Was surprised to get anything at all after reading the most recent updates about the program.
Got mine today as well.

Return to ship at 5PM??? Seems like they could allow you to stay later since the ship is not leaving.

We have AT&T and second what Twangster said. I found this link helpful when we were researching cell service for our upcoming Alaska cruise.

Sailing with my oldest son on a 7 night Freedom out of San Juan on September 29th. Wife and I are doing Alaska this month and the same Freedom sailing in December so we are trying to keep cost down. Flying non stop both ways would have been $500 each. We are flying in the day before the cruise, but staying a day after is not an option for my son. We got a great deal on the return flight ($118 each on SouthWest) and have two options for our outbound. What would you do?
Both are AA flights since SW was too high and we will not fly Spirit.
#1 Depart DFW at 6:30am with a stop and plane change in Miami having us in SJ at 2:30pm.
Pros: Give us time to explore SJ. There would be no cost using 12.5k AA miles each.
Cons: Plane change with risk of missing connecting flight or luggage not making the switch. Possibility that Miami could have closures or delays because of hurricane season.
#2 Depart DFW at 12:30pm and fly nonstop to SJ and arrive at 6:30pm.
Pros: Non-stop and don't have to get up at 4am. Much better odds that luggage will make it.
Cons: Use 27.5k AA miles for one ticket and $250 for the other. Little or no time to explore SJ after checking into hotel.
Our flight home does not leave until 4:30pm so we could possibly explore town before leaving if we can find a place to secure luggage. I was leaning towards the non-stop since we got a great deal on the cruise and hotel. $313 each for a balcony cabin and $85 at the Embassy Suites. I have left the decision up to my son but interested in your thoughts.

Group Cruise is less than 3 weeks away. Please save and share your Cruise Compass if you are on Explorer now or in the next two weeks.
Currently the most recent on the site is from July 2017. I am sure our sailing will be very similar to what is posted, but would love to have the most recent. Noticed that the forecast each day was in the 50' last year and that the Flowrider was open! Better pack my wetsuit. LoL

Going with a less stressful Plan B.
Got a great rate of $119 at the Embassy Suites for a post cruise overnight stay. We can take our time getting off the ship, drop our luggage at Embassy, relax at the pool and/or spend the day enjoying San Juan.
They switched our flights to 10:22 the following morning at no charge.
Problem solved.

Just do a land/sea combo! I do it all the time. Best of both worlds !!
Love this idea, but the wife doesn't have as much vacation time as me and can't take two weeks in a row. The only exception will be when we do a land/sea combo in 2020. Hoping to do our first, and likely only, European vacation.

Book early and re-price often.

The wife enjoys cruising, but wants to try an All-inclusive resort for early May 2019. I know I know, but happy wife...happy life. We have never done one before so turning to you guys for suggestions. Prefer a destination that is not a stop Royal makes in the Western Caribbean since we have visited those places so many times. All adult a plus, but no a deal breaker since most kids in school until the end of May.

Well AA just moved our return flight from 2:56 pm to 10:22 am. There are no other non-stop flights that day from San Juan back to Dallas. I am thinking 10:22 am is too risky.
-
Thx for continuing to keep up with the list Doc.
San Juan air is currently $490 pp round trip. I am using some miles for the Sept flights to reduce cost. The Sept was only $123 out of pocket. Haven’t booked Dec yet.
I need to accumulate more miles for the Dec ‘19 sailing.

I would ask the cabin attendant as soon as you board. They could probably make it happen.

I called this morning. Said it could take up to 2 weeks to get to my IT ticket. They did however say I could login but not to make any changes. Also they said I would get an email update not a phone call.

Buy insurance. It is hurricane season but historically most cruises during hurricane season execute normally. There is risk that a storm could happen but if you remain flexible and understand the risks of cruising in hurricane season (including changing or dropping a port) then deals like this can make for a great and cheap cruise.
Looking for insurance now.
