  1. I believe the classic package is anything under $10. A domestic beer at the pool bar is $9. Most cocktails at the pool bar are $12-$14, a Titos and soda is $12
  2. we love Brightline, no need to check luggage either. just walk on, plenty of storage for your suitcases.
  3. We did a mix of Ship sponsored excursions and ones we booked thru viator. Not sure where you are going but some of the ports are an hour or more away from where you might want to go (Florence, Rome) for those I would recommend sticking with a Royal excursion so you are not worried about getting back on time.
  4. we disembarked in Rome last year and stayed 2 nights. We stayed at an airbnb close to the Vatican. We did do the sights but you don't need to. I would definitely walk around the Vatican even if you don't do a formal tour, its beautiful. I would also walk to Trevi fountain just to see it. Other than that just eat and drink wine....amazing. I would not go stay 2 days at the port, there isn't much there.
  5. I love the stay a while in Europe, unfortunately due to customs you have to get off the ship early in the US. I would say go check out Disney or Universal. Parks are fun but expensive, if you don't want to spend a lot of money Disney Springs or Universal City Walk would be good way to spend the day. I believe there is a way to check your bags to your airline from the ship so you don't have to worry about them.
  6. Not sure on utopia (will find out next month) but on Allure I believe the minimum was $15 and the only 3:2 table is the single deck table. I could be wrong this is from memory.
  7. The aqua show is the only show you really need a res for. You'll be able to walk into mama mia (don't miss it) and the ice show
  8. I was able to book online for september sailing but not showing up on the app for some reason. $119 pp is a little pricey but looking forward to the experience.
  9. My advice would be to use a travel agent that way its their job to find what you are looking for. You can find many mentioned throughout this blog. MEI travel is prominent
  10. I believe there would still be a charge. It's nothing to right home about, I wish they'd replace it with something else. i will say with the UDP make sure you take advantage of Playmakers. I think Indy has the best Playmakers of the fleet. Perfect location and lots of space.
  11. I can't remember the name of the beach but in Curacao there is a place to swim with sea turtles (100's of them) any taxi would know where you are talking about. We are going in october and our plan is to do that then walk around the gorgeous town site. Aruba Palm Beach is our favorite. Hit Nos Clubhuis for lunch at the Mariott.
  12. no that is Royal Caribbean's private island and just your sea pass card is required to get on and off the ship/
  13. Just got off a 3 night sailing on Allure. We went to the MDR twice and I have to say the food and the service was amazing. We had 6:45 reservations for my time dining and easily made it to 8:00 shows both nights. Food was hot and great quality.
  14. I wish they'd extend that to the US, one of the reasons I prefer Celebrity
  15. We recently took Brightline from MCO to ft Lauderdale for a celebrity cruise and loved it. Very convenient. I ordered a wine at the terminal bar and the bartender told me i could carry a bottle on! That beats driving. I would say if you plan on having a couple drinks and some food the upgrade to First Class may be worth it.
  16. just got off celebrity reflection. Hit #2 back to back then again after 1 miss. Close to the triple!
  17. Highly recommend an airbnb. We stayed at Giulia & Federica's place just steps from the Vatican and much cheaper than a hotel. The apartment was beautiful and they were awesome hosts.
  18. i generally fill out the online form. Usually have the email confirmation within 2 business says and then have 48hours to pay the fees. you can absoulutely pick the sailing and room if you call.
  19. show up at 11:00 and probably walk right on. Have a great time
  20. On my most recent cruise on Allure I ordered 1 of everything for dinner (including the wings) I could barely walk after . The wings are really good but better at Playmakers
  21. starting in 2024 you will need an ETIAS visa waiver to enter Europe. Once you are in you will not need anything other than your passport for any country listed.
  22. Most people on this blog are fairly experienced cruisers who know that Royal (and all cruise lines) are always running "sales". The earlier you book the better price you get is the general rule. Good travel agents like the one you will find mentioned thoughout this blog will sometimes be able to offer Group discounts and perks. If I ever think there is a possibility my plans will change I book refundable deposits. Sorry you found a better deal after you booked with Royal but thats really not their fault and you will still have a great time on your cruise.
  23. not to worry. The only show you probably need a reservation for is the Aquatheatre and there will be a line for people without reservations. get there early and be first in line.
  24. You can get the photos done at the terminal when you check in the day of your cruise.
  25. Ah yes i wasn't thinking about the comedy show
