They did that to us. The refund was pretty quick. However it was so close to our sail date that when I went to look for another excursion that suited us they were all sold out. Sucked.

I applied early too but didn't get it until about a week before sailing. You just show it when you get to the terminal and they give you a round yellow sticker with BTA on it to wear while boarding. This was at Cape Liberty.

Saw them all just the other day, walkers, wheelchairs, scooters. Lots of them had rental ID tags on them. Whatever floats your boat. No pun.

We did the muster video on the app while in the car about 10 miles from the port. I even turned off the radio to listen to it. Went to our station immediately after getting our seapasses. It was just the 2 of us there, the highly trained crew member scanned our cards and away we went. Easy peasey. I don't miss standing in a crowd of hot sweaty people at the muster station wearing my life vest like in the old days.

We stopped getting off the ship in Nassau due to prior unpleasant visits. That being said I have been looking at the day passes being offered by the Colonial Hilton and the new Margaritaville Resort in the event of being on a cruise that makes a piss stop in Nassau.

There were far less people smoking in the Adventure smoking areas than the last time I was aboard 3 years ago. Far less. The casino unfortunately still has the same stink that escapes out the entrances and up to deck 5.

Like I said, I got what I paid for, suffered no loss. Apparently this has gone on for years, with tacit approval from RC, so complaining further up the line would have been fruitless. But I think I have discovered a new excursion bonus. Grab a drink at the loungers bar and have a seat at one of the benches across the way and watch the rope jumping show!

We were on Labadee last Wednesday. I rented the Beach Lounger For 2 off the RC website months ago. I paid a hundred bucks for it. After properly checking in and getting a wristband at the excursion hut for this activity we went in and settled down. The area for the loungers was marked and roped off with a rope no more than 2 feet off the ground. I began to notice that people were nonchalantly walking past the hut to the far end, looking around and then stepping over the rope. They would then find an empty lounger and set up camp. There is no way to mistake this as a free amenity between the App, website and map. I found an employee walking around with a clipboard and told him. His reply was that yes, they knew what was happening but they were not allowed to confront people over things like that. I then asked him if this is the way things are done why did I have to pay $100 when you're telling me it's free to anyone stepping over the rope. He said he couldn't help me with that. I didn't lose anything, got exactly what was described and paid for, but seriously Royal??

No word yet on the other July cruise we have booked for Bermuda.

We got notified this morning our July cruise to New England/Canada (Empress from Bayonne) has been cancelled. In this case I'm assuming it is due to the announced retirement of Empress from the fleet. Or due to Canada not allowing use of their ports until August?
