  1. @BrianB Do you know if parking in the lot across from the terminal is allowed if the garage is NOT full?
  2. We sailed from NJ in June. For the first time in many years of sailing from this port, we were not able to park in the garage and were directed to a lot across from the terminal. We still paid at the box at the end of our cruise, same as when we park in the garage. I actually liked the lot parking better, surprisingly. It was much quicker getting to our vehicle and leaving. But the car was DIRTY.
  3. Gosh, I'm with all of you! This itinerary looks great!
  4. I think a regular participant here, @teddy, said he was tall so maybe he can chime in with his personal experience.
  5. It seems your vacation glow may have worn off... May be time to plan another cruise.
  6. I'm on Oasis now listening to a jazz group performing on a small stage over top the Island Market shop in the Promenade area.
  7. Gosh, having a less than stellar dining room experience due to new, inexperienced crew now seems inconsequential compared to a life boat being deployed in an emergency BEFORE I get on it.
  8. And that room service appetizers are now considered entrees, so one per guest per room service order. I can only suggest to go the the WJ, load your plate(s) with as much food as you want and walk back to your room and indulge.
  9. What a sweet picture. And such a nice interaction between RC blog members.
  10. That Mark Hockberg is apparently very knowledgeable about cruising...looks like you might have some competition @Matt !!
  11. #SeastheDay on Harmony with THE CRIMSON CRUISERS #1stsailing! too cliche?
  12. When we cruised from NJ on Anthem in February, no one was checking arrival times. A gentleman was holding the door open and greeting everyone flooding in.
  13. I totally agree...it doesn't bother me either. I generally get a lounger on the level above the pool. And if I can't find a seat in the Solarium I move on to someplace else. I've never "saved" a seat in 20 years of cruising. But I do find these chair hog threads entertaining...
  14. Since you asked, yes, I think you are chair hogging.
  15. Amazon has numerous blow-up camping mattresses/pads that roll up very small for easy packing. I just purchased one myself to use on the bed for our cruise this Friday. Sometimes the mattresses on the ships are uncomfortable to me.
  16. Maybe you could leave the couch as ìs and use as a single bed, then put a single air mattress on the floor beside the couch giving each son his own space. Obviously it might make walking around a little dicey at night but looks like it MAY work.
  17. I agree. I'm not a fan of BOA either. It isn't a very good travel card (one of several reasons why I stopped using it) and maybe they did you a favor by declining your app! By the way, just my opinion!
  18. This routinely happened on Anthem (at least during the winter months we cruised) prior to C19. Leaving your room in the morning and your door handle would be dripping wet, grab a hand rail on the stairs and yep! a wet rail. Actually we were on the same cruise as you and my husband and I commented that we never once touched or saw a wet handle or rail on this cruise.
  19. Thanks for posting your experience. On Saturday we'll be heading out on our FIRST since the shutdown as we are unvaxed also. To say we're excited is an understatement. I was curious (but not worried) about what to expect so your comments came at a perfect time!
