One of the other people who landed in MIA today was able to get onto Norwegian Joy last minute, so as to not waste their trip. Maybe you can do something similar?

You'd only do it if the Non-refundable fare is lower than the refundable fare. Often it is not if you booked well in advance. That's the only reason to switch from a refundable to a non-refundable fare. Otherwise a refundable deposit is much more advantageous.

There are no guarantees. Try to get a boarding time as early as you can when you check in, but depending on when hai, they have often been delaying boarding an extra two hours for cleaning.

I thought you couldn't book refundable fares for suites? I'd be all over that.
