I got my rejection email for my Royal Up on my last sailing during my 8pm dinner the first night, lol.

Not at this time, but be sure to do an antigen test rather than PCR. PCR is what will pick up fragments of the virus months later - antigen only detects active infections.

I find generally a little bit (but it can go either way). Lyft treats their drivers much better than Uber, so that's a factor for me, and I also get Delta miles using Lyft. Mostly it's the way they treat their drivers (just like Costco vs Sam's Club).

I don't think this is the case.

If you're not cruising for a while, call your travel agent (or Royal) and see if you can switch to MyTime. If not, go to the Maitre' de on embarkation afternoon and request a private table. No saying it will be in a quiet corner, but you can request a private table.

We really need to book a Wonder sailing. Between this and Giovanni's Italian Kitchen? We'd be set.

Definitely Lyft.

Explorer of the Seas - cabin 1388 or 1688
SpeedNoodles replied to JJef's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I stayed in the same cabin on Navigator, directly under the Windjammer. We never heard anything from the Windjammer. The only thing we hears was the music from the Flowrider when we went out onto the balcony (and they do play the music 24/7 up there for some weird reason), but we couldn't hear it in the room, even with the balcony door open. Highly recommend. -
150 Central Park would be our choice.

No current plans to amp Allure have been announced.

No, they often come up prior to final payment these days (since final payment is at 30 days instead of 90 days).
-
RoyalUp is administered by a third-party company, so I'm never surprised when Royal Caribbean reps are confused on the issue.

They can be home test IF they are proctored. You can order proctored tests that Royal Caribbean accepts from https://www.emed.com/products/covid-at-home-testkit-six-pack?hsLang=en (6-packs only) or https://store.optum.com/royal-caribbean/ (2 or 3 packs. Always have one more than you need in case you accidentally mess up one - it happens).

Yep, I'd recommend canceling your Royal Up bid if you want 2 rooms that are close to each other. There's no guarantee (much more of a chance that they will not be) and if they accept your bid, you're stuck with what they give you.

I could probably have an entire meal of Liquid Lobster, if I had the choice, lol.

Odyssey of the Seas, 2/12/22-2/20/22... Please! No Covid Whammies!

Did you see me wave? I was totally waving. #cannotbackthatup -
They did not offer it on Odyssey last week. We were contestants on Jewel back in 2004. I briefly explain our experience when I was interviewed by Matt in 2020 for the RCB Podcast. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/podcast/episode-367-cruising-the-perfect-storm

I was able to modify/cancel my bids up to sailing on my January 29th sailing, so it's still available.

I wish I could tell you. It seems it's some sort of message board algorithm. Hang in there, we're doing the best we can getting them approved in a timely manner.

Repricing Discussion, TA or no TA, Alert Sites
SpeedNoodles replied to pmh's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
They are priced according to cabin category. While many categories are called "Ocean View Balconies", there are several categories within that title (i.e. 2B vs 5D). Also make sure you are comparing the right types of deposits (refundable vs nonrefundable). I've found the "alerts" to only be a general guide, they compare only to the last time they checked (not compared to what you paid), and I've never once in 3 years found that when they see a price drop, my price has actually dropped. -
Easiest are the proctored home angtigen tests. Free is Walgreens or CVS antigen tests.
