  1. The DBP is the Deluxe Beverage Package (the alcohol package) and the intern sale is what we lovingly call an EXTREME error made by someone last year when they posted the Deluxe Beverage Package for $18 per person per day (about $40 savings per person per day). A bunch of us jumped on it - Royal ended up honoring it and the joke was that some intern screwed up.
  2. Stupid question, but what's Atlantis? I assume not the resort in Nassau?
  3. 1. No, there's no limit 2/2a You will print off as many luggage tags as you need from the website. 3. No, but I'd always have ID in/on them just in case you inadvertently leave it sitting somewhere. 4. There will be a place in the terminal when you disembark where everyone picks up their luggage - the areas are labeled with numbers that will match the tags they give you the night before. 5. Nope. But know that everyone is in the same boat (no pun intended ... ok, maybe a little), and you can either have your garments pressed by Royal (for a fee), or do what most people do --- bring Downy Wrinkle Guard and/or hang the garments in the bathroom when the shower is running on hot and let the wrinkles take care of themselves.
  4. We spent a lot of time chatting with the two people who serviced Mix and Mingle on Ovation. They always sought us out to ask how our day was and chat about various things. They also worked really hard to keep the area clean and the machines stocked and serviced. We tipped them extra at the end of the cruise. I think they get forgotten about.
  5. I was on a 4-night sailing on Navigator in December and had My Time Dining. We experienced none of those issues. I arranged to have the same table/wait staff every night, and they (mostly our waiter, the assistant waiter wasn't great, much to the dismay of our waiter, who ended up doing much of the work of both of them) took excellent care of us. We never felt rushed. I'm sorry to hear that you had that experience. ?
  6. Welcome to the forums! Every insurance policy is different, so you have to decide what you want and find a policy that covers what you expect it to cover. If I recall, the insurance you purchase through RCCL does not cover your flight, etc, which is one reason I go with someone else. I have a good working relationship with tripinsurance.com (the poor owner has held my hand through several purchases when I didn't understand something), but there are many places to get trip insurance. Just be sure you read it and know what it covers and what it doesn't. Also check out @Matt's podcast about trip insurance here: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/podcast/episode-315-travel-insurance-101
  7. I won't argue you that! Most of the cabanas are at least doable if you split the cost between 6-8 people, but not the Beach Club.
  8. I'm just going to leave this here - it's certainly not the only time I've ever seen "Pick Your Own Room" fares less than "We Pick Your Room". So I still don't believe it's some grand scheme to screw people over - it's likely part of their pricing algorithm thing they have going on.
  9. The over-the-water cabanas are the ones that can get up to $2.5k - in the Beach Club area. The Oasis Lagoon Cabanas are around the fresh water pool. We snagged one in December for $317 for 3 of us and we felt it was a good deal (it's rare to find them quite that low though). While we enjoyed them (and pretty much needed one that day since it was windy and cool), I'm not sure I'd do it again unless I had the right price and number of people. We definitely won't do it for just two of us.
  10. Always ignore the "percentage off" and just look at the price per day.
  11. My Symphony sailing had booking for entertainment show up about 120 days out. On Ovation it was about 45 days. So basically, just keep checking.
  12. Welcome to the forum! Did you check your spam and trash folders to see if the email got filtered out?
  13. Trust your EDocs over either the app or the booking site.
  14. Frankly it's nothing Matt hasn't been telling us for the past year.
  15. Probably, I just didn't realize it took them 3 months. Even the amplifications don't block out an entire 3 months, so I was just curious. You're probably right.
  16. I experienced the same when my helium balloon excursion on Coco Cay was cancelled due to wind. The money was refunded to my Sea Pass card by noon.
  17. Welcome to the forum! Others will have more solid advice, and I think they'll recommend self assist.
  18. If you or your TA has made a note of it, sometimes your room steward will make a fuss as well. Ours did on Ovation last June for my husband's 50th (she had 2 people sneak in and make an elaborate towel cake, complete with towel candle) - we accidentally interrupted the process, so they sang an impromptu Happy Birthday to him. I miss that woman. She was just the best.
  19. Ok, so not a Terminal A thing, because twice I sailed out of there, but not Symphony. I guess I'll find out in 33 days, since I'm sailing on Symphony then! I totally believe you, I just haven't had that experience yet.
  20. I was on the typical 7-day Ovation Alaskan itinerary last June. Not sure if I can help or not.
  21. I've uploaded mine on the past 3 cruises - nobody has ever retaken my pic. Maybe that's a particular terminal or ship policy?
  22. I looked long and hard at this one. I think I'll put it on my list of something to book on another trip to St. Maarten (I promised Mr Speednoodles an ATV tour this year).
  23. I've had drop off locations in both the theatre (Mariner) and the MDR (Navigator). Does anyone know which venue at which you drop off the carry on luggage on Symphony (since it's such a big ship, I'd rather not drag them from end to end looking for it, like I had to on Nav)? TIA
