  1. They have sales every couple of weeks. It should say on the Cruise Planner or promo email how long the sale lasts. $53/day isn't a bad price for Symphony. I'd jump on it and you can always cancel and rebook if the price goes down even further.
  2. Regardless of the reason they do it, they have said that when they say 45 days it's 45 business days, not calendar days.
  3. Yeah, I was denied a L&S off of an 8-night cruise next January as well. Oh well, it is what it is.
  4. Technically 60 business days (but still longer than 45 business days).
  5. If it helps, we got our refund back within 2 weeks for our deposit on the Brilliance Group Cruise. I'm holding out hope for the Anthem GC. It's too soon for me to know about next summer.
  6. "While this news has upset many cruisers, Carnival Corporation’s CEO, Arnold Donald, seemed almost to be bracing people for the development during a recent webinar. “I wish I could give you a date,” he said, “but we can’t.” Instead, he said that he could give the conditions under which they would return. “Cruise at its essence is a social gathering,” he explained. “So when society is starting to social gather again, then we can begin to talk about cruise.”" https://cruiseradio.net/carnival-cruise-line-cancels-sailings-until-september-30/
  7. We stay at the Kimpton Epic in Miami. It's right next to the Intercontinental, beautiful, and far less pricey.
  8. Then call (or message on Facebook) Royal Caribbean directly.
  9. Yeah, I'd make a call to my travel agent about that.
  10. I'm still waiting for a refund for a Cruise Planner purchase that I canceled on May 9th. It's not unusual. (Frustrating, but not unusual). When I contacted them (via Facebook Messenger - took 2 days to get an answer, BUT I didn't have to wait on hold) they said it would be 45 days.
  11. @KeithB Welcome to the forums!!!!
  12. Is it a large balance, or might it be the difference in port fees?
  13. I just received my refund for the Brilliance Group Cruise today (in full - which was only the deposit). Still waiting on the refund from the cruise planner items, as well as the refund for other cruise planner items for my Odyssey sailing that I canceled on May 9. I honestly didn't expect the deposit back on the fare until well into July.
  14. I'm sadder to read this than I am about canceled cruises ?
  15. They just released all of the replacement Allure sailings (from when she was supposed to sail from Galveston). Maybe they are adding them to the site and they need to take it down to do it? This is the message I usually get one Saturday night/Sunday morning a month when they undergo site maintenance.
  16. I was on Symphony in Feb of this year and used my Wow band (and occasionally my Sea Pass card) and never once was given a receipt to sign. Actually, I didn't on Symphony, Navigator (Dec '19) or Ovation (June '19).
  17. That's great!! They offer other kinds of discounts but rarely apply them (police, for instance. And maybe never, now that they are public enemy #1).
  18. Well, they do pay some taxes, just not the way people think they should pay. https://cruiseradio.net/fact-check-do-cruise-lines-pay-us-taxes/
  19. I don't understand how they are sailing the Bliss and Joy in September in Alaska.
