  1. We have two booked...one this summer with our 16yo DS and his best friend (their first cruises)...and one in November with friends (who we cruised with this past December).
  2. just my personal...I also don't consume much alcohol...I get the Refreshment Package and pay for the 3-4 special drinks with my OBC or just out of pocket...so it can be done if you don't drink a lot.
  3. I have also read on these boards that larger sizes may take more than 1 punch per drink...
  4. same... I don't bring mine either...the one in the room works fine for my thick curly hair...that i straighten every single day of my life. lol
  5. I've been dying to wear the dress I wore to my daughter's wedding...LOL. but seriously, I bought that specific dress in hopes of one day wearing in to formal night on a cruise...I felt like the 2nd prettiest woman at the wedding! LOL
  6. NVM...our cruise went up by about $1250...holy price jump Batman!
  7. We're taking my 16yo DS and his best friend this summer and we told them about formal night and showed pictures of all different people from our past cruises, some super fancy, us just "dressed up" for "church"...some in formal formal attire, some in nice jeans...we're letting them choose how formal they want to be...they both said they'd like to get new "suits", to dress up.
  8. thank you for sharing this...since I was little, my brain sees the world as map...maps have always fascinated me. I LOVE google earth for this reason!
  9. So...sorry if I missed this answer...but what is the difference between a Promenade and a Centrum? I'm relatively (fuzzily) sure I've only been on ships with a Promenade...
  10. We actually booked at the Next Cruise office on the Indy OTS in December...
  11. dumb question here...HOW do i go about checking to see if my cruise has changed prices? do I just go in like I'm searching for a brand new cruise with all the same options and compare?
  12. We did December 2017 AND 2018 and the weather was FANTASTIC. Warm/hot enough to "count" as a nice day (laying in the sun, hanging in the pools), but not so muggy that we were miserable.
  13. i'm totally googling this...I know not what this is! LOL
  14. that's awesome!!! I see a "father's day gift" for the hubby before our July 8 cruise! lol
  15. @Gegs there are tons of threads on here about drink packages and prices. Just do a quick search up at the top! But the worth of the drink packages all depend on what and how much are you likely to drink.
  16. We live an hour north of the Indy airport and 3.5 hours south of O'Hare...sometimes it's actually cheaper for us to drive to Chicago than fly out of Indy...so I always feel a bit sickish too when we leave home, just in case THIS is the time that I forgot we booked O'Hare and needed to leave WAYYY earlier! LOL
  17. Both times we’ve been to Cozumel we’ve gotten in a taxi ($4/person) and had them take us “downtown” and we’ve just walked around and shopped and ate, then headed back to the ship.
  18. that balcony tho! ? even EYE would enjoy THAT one! more relaxing. since I'm afraid of heights AND water, this seems like I could actually relax while on the balcony. LOL
  19. Overview Get a behind-the-scenes look at what we do to create your best vacation ever. Join your friendly guide for an exclusive narrated tour onboard your ship. Start off in the dining room, where you’ll find out what our crew does to get ready for every meal, plus try to set up a table yourself. Do you know where to place the water glass or soup spoon? Walk through the main galley to see how our delicious dishes are prepared, plus take a look at the provision area to see all of the ingredients we need to have on hand — it’s a lot! Then step inside the engine control room, where we monitor the systems used throughout the ship. You’ll also visit the ship’s vast laundry facilities. See where anything from napkins, table cloths and sheets to beach towels and the laundry you request gets cleaned and folded. Plus, you’ll have a chance to stroll the “I-95,” the long corridor in the crew’s area, named after the longest highway on the U.S. east coast. Finish with a real treat – a visit to the Bridge for a tour of the ship’s command center. Helpful Hints Flip-flops are not permitted in the galley for safety reasons. Please wear closed-toe shoes. Comfortable clothing with long pants What to Bring SeaPass Card and photo identification Camera Restrictions Minimum age 6 yrs
  20. I don't get why others would be upset either. Your flight/first class analogy is spot on in regards to this subject...We've thought about the key for our next cruise, and are still weighing the pros/cons...
  21. You need to "apply" any OBC to your checkout process. the prices shown will be what they will be, but you CAN use your OBC to reduce that...
