  1. Took the Disney Shuttle from Port Canaveral - 2 buses. Our driver told us if one bus filled up before the scheduled 7pm departure time, it would leave, the other would stay til 7pm. They also gave us business cards with a number on it for emergencies - and we did, in fact, wait a few minutes (no more than 10) for one family that called and said, "Don't leave, we're almost there!" Leaving before the specified time of 250, if that's what people were told, is unfair
  2. One caveat - I would recommend any controlled substances be in the original, pharmacy labeled container - at least the backup supply. Also - needles/ syringes if they are used - at least cut off the label from the box if you transfer them from their original containers. My last cruise was a B2B - 16 days - I had 2 weeks of everything in daily pill sorters (4 weeks of the early morning stuff), and an additional 2 weeks of the others in "larger" pill sorters - with my own handprinted label as to what was in there. I refilled an additional 2 weeks worth near the end so that I would have it all done before I got home, since I had to work the next day, and didn't want to deal with it the day we returned. I had it all in carryon - didn't want to take the chance of losing any!

  4. You could bring 1 x 187 ml per person - the issue is number of bottles allowed, UP TO a max of 750ml/ bottle. Same with soda and water - up to 500 ml (16.9 oz) size, but no more than 12, bi matter the size. It's quantity, not total volume
  5. We just finished a b2b on Oasis - 9 days, then 7 days. Did MDR 1ar week, UDP 2nd. Tipped MDR staff (although we were underwhelmed with the service, do on the lower end), and at each specialty restaurant nightly. Tipped our cabin steward at the end of each leg. We were on deck 8, so I got an iced latte every morning at Park Cafe. Same server, & near the end of the 1st cruise, he had my order memorized, so I tipped him on turnaround day. Then, when I showed up for the 2nd week, he always looked for me and started writing up my cup before I said anything, and he got tipped again at the end.
  6. Can't answer for Singapore, but when you get your new Seapass card, you are also given an "in transit" card that allows you to leave the ship and get back on quickly. We just finished a B2B in Bayonne, and my daughter wanted to pick up some things from the nearby CVS, so after returning (which annoyed her, since she had to get all all the way back on the ship, then leave again), called an Uber and got her errand done, then was able to get back on the ship easily
  7. Currently on Oasis, have the UDP. Went to Chops night one & Giovanni's last night. DH got filet at both, and said the one at Gio's was hands down better than Chops. Chops was good, but Gio's was amazing, according to him
  8. 10 years ago on explorer we had a group of 11 in 4 rooms &;we all were assigned the same table. 12 is probably the max. We were in the back of the dining room, which probably made it easier for them
  9. I'm currently on board, and all the restaurants that are open for lunch show the lunch menu. MDR menus don't seem to show breakfast, lunch, brunch til you're onboard either. And GT on Oasis ea marvelous for lunch. DH wanted to lick the bowl his risotto was in
  10. Does this mean Oasis won't be docking at terminal 1 next week? Was thinking of going to one of those restaurants for lunch while we're there.
  11. 10 years ago, my mom brought the family on a cruise. My youngest nephew (14 at the time, and skinny as a rail) regularly ordered 3 apps, 2 entrees and at least 2 desserts. Standard was shrimp cocktail & Caesar salad, plus whatever else looked good. This was after a large breakfast and lunch, and several trips to the soft serve machine.
  12. She is concerned about places like El loco fresh because as a buffet style place, there is a high chance of cross contamination, and she is VERY sensitive to even trace gluten. We also had an issue in the Solarium bistro this afternoon when she asked the chef for help, and he told her the couscous was gluten free!! (It is not, for those who don't know). He just kept on talking over her, and after that, she felt she couldn't trust anything he said. It's just been kind of a mess this past several days, and we've been looking forward to this for a long time.
  13. It's also one of the few places my celiac daughter can get a snack/meal off hours. Oasis has been extremely disappointing for her. The scaled down MDR menus have really limited her options, and they no longer have the GF symbol to help her, so she has to keep asking, and our headwaiter has not gone a good job or been proactive in helping her. He mainly gets to tell her no, and hasn't, even after several nights, and being told how helpful it would be, gone to the trouble of finding out ahead of dinner what things could be modified. It's been very frustrating for her. I'm pretty easy to please, and eat most things, so I'm ok. We're staying on as a B2B, but next week we have UDP, and she's already excited about 150 CP, since the menu outside the restaurant shows several GF options. Chops and Giovanni's table we've eaten at before on other ships, so we have good luck there also. Breakfast in MDR is ok, but the other day she asked for over easy eggs and gf toast, and they brought her eggs without the toast, and it took them several minutes to bring up untoasted bread, which meant her yolks were cold when she went to eat them. Her post cruise survey is going to be very negative in the food area.
  14. I understand what you mean. In the summer, I like iced coffee in the morning got my drive to work, so it's made the night before. Not a huge fan of the coffee over ice version either. What I have gone, especially if I'm going to be out early in the am and want a larger coffee, is get a hot one the day before, allow it to cool a bit, then stick it in my med fridge (basically a small plug in cooler that they give me for one of my meds. Voila - iced coffee in the morning! I would use the cooler, but it's not cold enough for me
  15. It's a 9 night (I'm currently on-board) and my menus didn't populate properly til we were actually onboard. It had 6 & 7 as royal night and bon voyage, with 8 & 9 saying venue closed and now those 6 & 7 are 8& 9. We had kid's menu on only one of our nights as well. It will fix itself up
  16. cool - I'd love to bring you along if I ever had to worry about that - but I prefer the warm weather destinations
  17. B2B on Oasis starting Friday 9 day, then 7 day. Left work today at 3pm, don't go back til 8/21!
  18. We do have the same cabin, so that's not a problem. Royal Up was tempting, but didn't want to go through the hassle of changing cabins - main reason we're doin this is to get to do all that Oasis has to offer, and not worry about missing stuff or overscheduling my days. Hope everything goes smoothly!!
  19. It actually depends on if you do it in the website or the app. App, they want a selfie, web you upload. Passport - web you put in the exact name, number & exp date, app you take a picture. Also, if you are a midnight check in person, on the app you can just pick a boarding time and go back later to do the rest. You can also edit info up to 3 days prior to your cruise
  20. Doing one soon on Oasis - getting on the first one Friday (!), so will have first hand knowledge (for Bayonne, anyway). We have the UDP for the 2nd cruise, so we plan on taking advantage by 1) getting our reservations in ASAP, and 2, either doing a specialty lunch if available, or portside bbq if they will be open that early.
  21. Glad you asked - I have one for our Nassau day (getting of the ship at PC, PDCC & Labadee) & was thinking of trying to pick mine on day 1 after boarding, but if they say no, then I'll try day 2 at 9am
  22. you would probably have to call to re do the refreshment package only -- since it's a weird workaround that they have to allow non drinkers to avoid the deluxe. Can't answer your other question though - although if you try to do it, there might not even be an option to cancel it
  23. Will this work to request extra towels every day? That's my one absolute
