Difference was there wasn't some idiot filming everything that went on or cctv on every corner! Nowadays everything gets filmed and stuck on social media or your every move is watched If that happened back in the 80s or early 90s it would have ruined my growing up years lol My eldest who's now 28 used to go out on a Friday night and roll in mid sat morning all apologetic, and I used to think back to how I vanished for 3 or 4 days at a time without even telling my mum I was going out lol of course still gave oldest a lecture for being inconsiderate and a lightweight lol

Every question I had in my mind before reading vanished when I read it was British reality tv show. It also mentions a show called Geordie shore! I would replace the S with a W A show where parents can sit and proudly watch their children having sex on tv. Nowadays people have very little respect for themselves never mind anyone else

So no point booking yet or even thinking about what ship until you know where the other one is going. Only once you know that can you really decide on what you want

Again personal preference, for some it's about the ports of call but if CD is important to you that's your choice. Not sure when you are looking to book but by the looks of it better to hold off even thinking about which type of ship until you know who will be CD on various ships at the time you wish to sail. You could decide to listen to advice on here and go for freedom or any other ship only to find out you don't like CD which means you need to reboot. Best to wait for CD schedule otherwise you will just be going round in circles

I guess the reason for various sizes of ships is to cater for everyone's different taste. You have stated you don't like small ships as they lack things to do but others may find the peace and quiet of a smaller ship more to their liking. As has been stated previously smaller ships may be more port orientated meaning people are off the ship during the day therefore daytime activities are not an issue. I guess at the end of the day you do what you want! If you want to go big because small isn't enough for you then you do it, it's just like being in McDonald's you have the choice to go large if you want.

There are some on YouTube, think New series is series 5 with 4 episodes per series. Each episode is a different cruise line, different area of the world and a different type of ship. Not your usual documentary as it's pretty funny at times

And YES i would and have done, Unless you have been through a tragic event yourself you will never know how sometimes laughter is the ONLY thing that makes a differnce, as it takes your mind off whatever is ripping you apart inside which in turn STOPS you from doing something stupid.

Not sure who mentioned it or what thread it was on but thanks anyway for pointing out that if cruise leaves at 8pm or there abouts it's best to eat earlier so we get the sail away. just reserved MTD for 5.30pm the day we cruise so we dont miss out.
