  1. As @Pooch said...It's all in how you answer the questions. One cruise we must of answered one of the questions wrong and they wanted to charge us. Closed that booking appointment and tried again...No charge. Drove up to our local Walgreens window at our appointment time...They gave me the swab and watched me swab each nostril five times. Put it back in the container and got my negative results in 22 minutes. We had used CVS previously for another cruise but stopped when they went to their minute clinic option.
  2. We always cruise with our binoculars and they mostly stay on our balcony. We also have IPhone 13’s and even with the great quality of the camera…Most the time it’s so much better and easier to use the binoculars.
  3. Absolutely agree with you. If we listened to the weatherman...We would stay home and miss a lot of good fishing, hunting and beach days.
  4. The best time to call is in the middle of the night...They are or use to be open 24 hours
  5. We have had to take the trip to the naughty room a few times. Didn't like my C-Clamps to hang my hammock on the balcony one cruise...Thought my bottle of honey for my coffee was booze another cruise. And the last time was last month on the Odyssey. Luggage missing for hours and figured it was in timeout so I headed down to the naughty room. They scan my bag and gave it back to me...Apologized and said the port guys must of made a mistake because they didn't see anything to cause the concern...I was like...Took your four hours to realize that?
  6. You can goggle your departure cruise port and should be able to find out the times they start accepting luggage. For our Alaska cruise next month from Vancouver...We can drop our bags off between 10:00 and 10:30 according to the website. Passenger information, directions and transportation | Port of Vancouver (portvancouver.com)
  7. We bought these passport holders on Amazon with a clear window for our Vax cards. We then print our SetSail Pass and our Covid test results…Fold them into the passport holders. It’s super quick and easy to show the required stuff to anyone who wants to see them…And it seems everyone and their brother wants to see them.
  8. We tried and tried to checkout flights on Air2Sea many times for our Alaska cruise next month…Never worked. Kept telling us to contact our TA. Found the flights we wanted and called in the middle of the night. Got a guy who spoke good English right away with only a minute or two of waiting. Gave him the flights we wanted but for some reason he couldn’t book them. Put us on hold to talk to his supervisor but came back and told us he was sorry but he couldn’t book the flights we wanted. He could book a flight leaving Alaska at 1700 but not the 0600 flight we wanted. Oh well…We tried but ended up booking on our own.
  9. We just got a couple of bottles last month while in Coz and yes we did haggle. Once we determined what brand Barb wanted we ended up taking a taxi downtown and found it for a good price...Way cheaper then the port shops. Had to go to downtown anyway...We were craving a few banana daiquiris from Fat Tuesday's. Couldn't get one on the ship for some reason.
  10. Just do a search on Amazon for cruise luggage tags.
  11. We never have also and wouldn't unless we messed up big time and somehow forgot our luggage tags...Hope it never happens.
  12. We usually take a backpack with all of our towels and stuff. We will wrap the straps around our chair and attach them back to the backpack...The more straps the better. Cover with a towel when we are away from our chairs. It's only going to stop someone from quickly grabbing the backpack and walking off with it. Lets face it, if a thief wants your stuff...They are going to get it.
  13. Right side of the bed if I remember correctly
  14. @OCSC Mike, Totally agree. We had a tag torn off one cruise...Talk about a nightmare trying to get our bag. We now only use the plastic tag holders that attach with wire rope.
  15. They do make lockable beach bags that you can secure to your chair.
  16. You actually don't even need to print luggage tags. The porters have blanks and will fill in your room info that you give them.
  17. What bugs me is they always bring a gallon of it and I never ever came close to using it all...Seems like a big waste. wished they had smaller sizes
  18. Only one thing I can't live without...My best friend and wife Barb. Everything else I can get by without or buy it.
  19. Not a problem. Just stop by guest services when you get onboard and tell them just what you need. This is a common situation
  20. Yes you do! Make sure you bring your card and Covid test…Keep them handy cause you have to show everybody and their brother before you get on the ship
  21. We are doing the same thing but doing the land tour after the cruise. We haven't been notified of any testing requirement for the land tour but will take a couple proctored test kits even though if it's required for the land tour following the cruise...The testing should be provided by the ship. From what we understand there is no testing requirement to get back to the states. We got lucky and bought a couple of the Emed test and got the IHealth home test from the government. We always pack them in our luggage just in case but haven't had to use one yet.
  22. We don't change a single thing...Barb is a RN and works at the hospital till the day before we leave, and I do my job for Uncle Sam till the day before we leave. Barb wears masks at work but nowhere else. I only wear it if its required...Like at the hospital.
  23. You have to show your card about three times before you can get on the ship, and they have taken a picture of ours on the last three cruises. Still not sure why they have us upload it.
