I was in the pano room feb on the independence they are the best on the ship this is my second pano booking the first on freedom and in nov I have a pano on the adventure as far as I am concerned these are the best cabins on a ship I am a sightseer and the views are breathtaking I always used to get balcony rooms but didn't use the balcony much the heat is far to much for me and I would go to the Viking crown lounge for my daily sightseeing once you experience the views you will under stand I have several pictures I took from the windows but will have many more after November try them you will like them any questions I can try to answer please ask for me keep the hyper expensive suites I will be booking the beautiful fair priced panoramic views I mean cabins I so far am lucky I have never felt the need for all the perks that come with the suites but in all fairness I could not afford them anyway for now I will be happy just with a pano in steerage just a final note having dealt with royal for years now and having somewhat of an inside source I call a friend if you want to experience a pano at a reasonable rack rate do it soon as I feel deep inside royal is watching the acceptance from this new cruise novelty and I expect to see a substantial rate increase in this unique class of rooms and soon please  understand I have never experienced the suite or star class and never will if I could afford this ticket and my choice between 4 cruises a year or 1 big splash I will always pick 4 a year on average the level of service I receive in steerage is such a huge step up from what I experience in everyday life that I feel like the well worn movie line IM KING OF THE WORLD   sail on my friends and be kind to people you meet

While not the only perk of using MEI Travel one distinct perk is that they sponsor this site.
Have you noticed no annoying banner ads of any sort?  That doesn't happen by itself and it's one of the reasons why I use MEI Travel.

I found that CM was a delightful change from the same old port I have become accustomed to there are acrobats performing dolphins to swim with fresh baked cookies to eat chocolate makers lots of small to medium shops swimming pool water bar with swings little fishys that give pedicures if you look you will probably find it here when I was there another ship had star trek day there were enterprise crew everywhere if mobility is a problem there is concrete leading to the shops and as far as I remember everything at port yes the pier is incredibly long but they have locals with wheelchairs happy to take you from your ship to the entrance of the port area for a small fee now for a treat in mulhahaul forgive the spelling there is a beachside eatery called the crazy lobster great food and drink google it they have a website I for one despite my mobility concerns loved the walk to the port area beautiful breeze and taking in the sights was worth the walk as we re boarded the ship next to us had a full band (big)serenading the ship and us I would gladly go there over Cozumel even though on this sailing we went to both check out the crazy lobster it is well worth the very short trip look it up on line

A call to RCMP/CSIS wouldn't hurt.  They know how to engage the appropriate agency on the other side of the border.
One concern with calling RC is that only represent RC's interests.  They won't likely get this guy on any radar screens of any government agency where he appears to belong.

ok aren't the ships confined spaces and the lack of personal sanitation the cause of noro virus with all the people crammed into small spaces now we add dogs cats turkeys hamsters and whatever to the mix where does the litter box go where does the dog poop and pee I have seen a great dane that its owner said was a support dog the smell will become overwhelming and what about fleas and ticks does the ships doctor certify the health of the animal I think not I applaud you Royal for doing the right thing in my humble opinion animals do not belong on cruise ships yes it costs me a lot of money to board my 3 cats and 2 dogs when Im cruising but I accept it as part of cruising it would never occur to me to bring little poopsie or Sylvester on a cruise its not fair to all the passengers with allergies or just don't want to cruise with other peoples pets

I am still going to bring my therapy wife on future cruises if they like it or not. I will make sure her vaccinations and papers are in order.  She does not bark a lot but her moans can be bothersome .

Just out of curiosity .....who will clean up the mess after the animal has an accident?  Would it be too emotional for the owner to do?  Will they have wash stations all over the ship to wash your shoes when you step in it?

I think that in this case its the mass abuse of this service that led to royal taking action my apologies to the people in need but I have had the unfortunate experience of having one of these in a room close to mine that yapped for hours as I found out later while the emotionally needy person was in the pub on the promenade in the business I was in we had a surge of emotional support animals for a while till we required proof of need usually by a doctor and the numbers dwindled quickly I am told the little coats the animals wear are available multiple places on the internet

People abuse the system all the time.  A former neighbor claimed support animal so he wouldn't have to pay pet rent.  I drove him to pick up his puppy from the breeder.  It wasn't trained at anything, it was a ten week old puppy.   Sure enough though, he didn't have to pay pet fees.  With the talk of more restrictions coming, a year later he signed up for a 4 hour session that provided a whimsical certificate so that he could argue the dog had received professional support animal training.  It was basically a play session with other dogs or so he told me as he encouraged me to follow suit.
There have been many incidents reported on trains, planes and ships where a claimed 'service' or 'support' animal bit someone or otherwise behaved inconsistent with a properly trained service animal.  I imagine there is potential liability if another guest is injured by a fake service animal.   Even if the risk of legal action against Royal is low (or the chance of winning a suit is low), it certainly will create a negative experience for a guest to be impacted and have their vacation ruined by a misbehaving fake service or support animal.
Seeing someone else getting away with it may tempt more to try it.  "Why not bring Fluffy?, they did".
If Royal needs to lean on the ADA to support this change in policy, I'm all for it.

Can anyone explain to me how/ why Royal gets to pick and chose which laws of the United States apply to them and when???
Here they are citing the ADA; yet they don’t feel minimum wage applies to them. Another example, they fly under a Bahamian flag and are really incorporated in Africa yet they have no problem calling the US Coast Guard every time there is a problem at sea even while in International waters. I don’t get it....
The reality is the more Royal has raised their prices the more finicky customers they are going to attract.
I wish Royal would adopt the same pet policy Cunard uses for its trans Atlantic sailings. You can bring your pet and it’ll cost about $800US. Your pet is boarded in their kennel area, has some type of attendant, and you are only allowed to socialize with your pet in a certain designated room; they are not permitted in any other areas; even staterooms.

Likely the additional cost of clean up personnel for the kids who let the stuff fly everywhere.  Popcorn fight on the pool deck?  Why not? No parents around to say otherwise...
In an Elevator? Popcorn fight!  In a hot tub?  Popcorn fight!
If it were free they couldn't make enough and places like hot tubs would be full of it.

I too have found that the once special rockets has lost all of its luster I have seen on many occasions empty booths as I passed enroute to other far better eating options the last attempt at eating at rockets was on the oasis and those of you who have sailed her know they sunk a lot of money into that particular restaurant to say it was awful was an understatement greasy overcooked food almost no flavor and I guess I should have guessed as when we approached no one at the outside tables and we were the only people seated inside raise the price I don't think so if royal has any hope of saving this once fun part of cruising they should go back to what worked 5.00 and properly trained cooks are a must if this once great franchise is to survive take it off the specialty restaurant list now is the time to rethink royal an entire cruise on majesty last year JR was rarely  open and when it was yep that's right no one there Royal there is no shame in admitting you made a mistake fix it now or rebrand and put in a better option  just my humble opinion

I like to travel a lot and many times find myself in places ripe with pickpockets plus I hate sitting on a wallet soooo I went on amazon and for 15.00 I solved my problem I bought a front pocket wallet its super slim and goes in the front not the rear pocket which makes it way harder for you to become a victim I have heard of victims loosing there wallet out of there back pocket in crowds without even disturbing the zipper equipped pocket top using a very sharp instrument of some sort cutting the fabric plus most pants have a double wall pocket in the front and only single wall in the back I personally only buy shorts with zipper pockets for roaming these thieve infested areas and have purchased long pants called CIA which have zipper pockets all around and zippers to make shorts out of long pants or vice a versa while I am not thinking I am 100 percent pickpocket proof at the least I am making it really hard for them to make a victim out of me ?‍♂️
