I'd downgrade as well for a free cruise!

I got excited and checked the package on my next sailing, and it actually went up a buck since yesterday....:(

I don't remember seeing them... The drink package could have been the reason...

Sorry for my delay. I had taken quite some time to write you a lengthy reply on 08/10, but it got deleted and I got pissed off about it, so I closed the browser and left the room! I apologize that I have not gotten back to you until today.

To make a long reply short, I am not a fan of the upfront, large tip. A little extra on Day 1, just to show them you're serious? Okay, I get that. But, not the whole week's worth in one shot. Besides, you need to shop around for the best bar and bartenders. It could take a little time to discover that. Just remember that, like branding, repetition is key. They may get all excited on Day 1 with a big tip, but the emotion wears off. Give them a medium tip and then continue to tip throughout, and you will get better service. You need to keep hope alive! Keep them guessing, "Will this be a small one or the big kahuna!?" It is the basic Pavlovian response!

If you do not drink alcohol, how does your generosity toward a bartender benefit you? What is your end game?

Well hopefully whatever they're doing now will be enough. I was on Jan 2016 and underwhelmed. The room itself was great but the wear and tear was very visible.

Haha. Sounds like us on our Feb '16 Allure sailing. Got there at 10:00 and we walked on with another couple first.  We always blow past the photographers.  We were sitting at the Solarium bar with drink in hand by 10:30! I will say that was the exception to be on THAT quickly.

    Good Morning,
So I was wondering if I could get some insight to this question.  So I logged into my C&A account went to "special offers", "exclusive rates", "see cruises" and a three night cruise on the Majesty for sailing date 12/14/2018 is showing $189 for interior.  Then I went to rccl.com as a Joe schmo and the same rate was available.  Am I missing a step to get the "Special Rate" ?  One would think after you sign in that the system would recognize you are C&A and populate the special rate.  Another question, this is the system that took over the pamphlet you would get in the mail for C&A showing the "special rates" right?

Adventure of the Seas 2016 - Table for 8 in the MDR. I went with a friend who was meeting up with a few people she knew,  a pair of sisters and another couple. I never paid attention to the foot traffic, to be honest because I was never getting up. It was loud but it didn't bother me. I really enjoyed the experience of meeting new people and wound up really liking everyone. Also did not pay attention to music as I was engaged in conversation every night.
Our MDR table was 2 americans 39, 45
2 Swedes- mid 40's (my friend had met these two on a previous cruise MDR with her husband and became very good friends)
    2 Canadians -mid 40's
2 from The Isle of Man - mid 50's.

We happened to all be very friendly, slightly boisterous and possibly annoying to people sitting around us but no regrets on my end. ]

I put the deposit down and put a little each month. I'm paying it off, no interest fees.
