  1. I had that, too. Really good. The Udon was amazing and made up for the Ramen. I loved the service at Izumi on Anthem but found the food was better at Harmony.
  2. My night had a mother/daughter and they had done it previously with the same menu - I don't remember when they did it before though.
  3. I'm doing my first solo land vacation in Italy next June! I've done little solo trips but nothing like this.
  4. @yzfmik I would check with restaurant services once on board. If you purchase the UDP you are eligible for a discount that you can only get once on board. That's what my fine print said from earlier this month.
  5. OOO! My tour guide said it was much harder and it was $2 million! One of my fellow travelers was asking all of the questions about this. It sounds very difficult when you factor in the job search. Jobs are only given to outsiders when it can't be filled by a Bermudan.
  6. I just want to point out that yes, cocktails are priced at $10-13, but in reality an Old Fashioned cost me $16.83 with tax and 18% gratuity.
  7. I've stayed in studio cabins on Harmony and Anthem. The rooms were similar and 100% what I needed. It's still quite expensive, in my opinion but cheaper than a regular room. You're most definitely (unless you're getting so crazy deal) paying more than you would if you shared a room. Extra space...for what? It's just me and there are plenty of storage spaces for my needs. The bathrooms are still the same size. Points are great and all but I'm not paying for points, I'm paying for my experience. I will likely never hit Diamond Plus or whatever, that's not my focus. Also, you need to book as soon as possible, these rooms fill up quickly. I loved cruising solo. I'm used to traveling solo for work but solo cruising is great. I'm not "quite young" and loved not having to take anyone else's opinion for my day to day. I also really love traveling with people. I just want to be on vacation so whatever it takes.
  8. I never take mine on vacation. The most I may do is a cross body Coach bag. My LV's stay at home - I feel like I already look like a tourist and don't want to draw any more attention to myself.
  9. I get it. For me it's the entire experience. I love food...I love wine...I love meeting new people (mostly- try to talk to me on my 1hr train ride and beware). I'm glad we got the chance!
  10. How did you all like it? I had it but wasn't impressed. The udon I had the next time was so good though.
  11. Root Beer is way better in it's non diet form. Still tastes medicine-y but something I'll crave every few years.
  12. You can't count on anything but...yes. Last year I was able to book the cheapest price on the deluxe drink package. It never went that low again and I was 8 months out.
  13. This made me laugh because at first I thought, "WHY?" Then I read the above sentence and yes, yes we do. Enjoying your blog.
  14. @Rimmit Maybe the group was from Mersey? Liverpool? That seems to make more sense but who knows!
  15. We've got a Nor'easter here - are you still on track to leave this morning? Safe travels. Love, love, love the pup.
  16. I'm a "water snob"....I had the refreshment package but still drank the water from the bathroom tap when I needed to.
  17. 100% agree. I watched that show as a little girl and loved it.
  18. I'm pretty sure La Patisserie had the alcoholic choices as well. I visited there no less than 2x a day. ?
  19. I actually gave up because I never stop moving and it seemed like a brag after a while!!!
  20. I have the theme from the movie in my head every single time I read the title of your post...
  21. Managed to get a few shots in. Didn't have a whole lot of time to take pictures on my tour and have a very hard time not being in the moment - so I forget to take pictures most of the time. The first is The Port Royal Golf Club. The middle is up top from the road looking down Horseshoe Bay.The last two are Horseshoe Bay. As you can tell I need more practice with the camera.
  22. @Pima1988 I adore you. Thank you. I will be looking into a bunch of what you wrote. My tour will take care of the Vatican and Venice but now maybe I'll look into a private 1/2 tour of Rome while I wait for my tour to start. Your tips are much appreciated.
  23. As I walked out - right there. There are a ton of them.
  24. For $9 I took the bus from the Dockyard. Took maybe a half an hour. Even though I paid for me way back I paid $7 to take the shuttle back, it was way more convenient.
