On Fire Island (off of Long Island, NY) a VERY popular drink is called the ROCKET FUEL. Pina colada with rum, amaretto and a 151 floater. The most I can drink is two over a few hours.

Bailey's, Limoncello, a good drinking rum, amaretto. ^^^

@Chadster That comic you posted is me. Except the whites of my eyes are unnaturally white. At this point I only know I'm 45+ days. I've lost count on how long I've been home.

Ugh, that's rough. Waiting is the worst. On the other side of this, I have a friend who's job it is to call people and tell them the results. It's brutal. She's exhausted when she comes home, mentally and physically.

@bossdog421 Aww! Happy Birthday! Hope your birthday can be special in some way. It's a family member's birthday and when she gets home from a 12.5 hour workday (works in hospital admin) we have basically planned to bomb her stoop (front steps) with cakes and trays of food and cheese platters.

This is common practice in all of the companies I've worked for. Layoffs every year, cuts made to department to "save $$" but the big guys multi billion dollar bonuses, every year...and it's published so we see it all. It sucks.

Thanks to @SpeedNoodles I'll be continuing my Quarantine alcohol edition - was able to justify my Odyssey B2B with drink packages for both. I do happen to drink a ton of coffee and water so it won't be just alcoholic drinks.

This has been my favorite since I'm very cooped up and take my pup out constantly for walks. The first week she just stopped in the middle of the walk and was done.

Things around me have pretty much shutdown but I'm curious how the holidays effect people's behavior. I already know I can't see any of my family and none of us will see anyone else but I have a few friends who think it's okay to see their family for the day. I don't get it.

Not just Candians 'are sacrificing much to control this virus'. Everyone, all around the world, is. There are some uninformed statements out there saying we need to open things up before they know the full impact but who is living life right now? We're all living a different life than we were in 2019. I do understand your 'call not to be selfish' and I am with you 100%.

I agree with the rest of your statement but flu shots never made me sick. The same with most people I know. I'm not saying it's not possible and that people don't get sick but just trying to be careful with the info out there.

I'm now trying to upgrade one of my booked cruises. The money I'm saving on train tickets, going out, lunches, dumb purchases will hopefully go towards a balcony. yolo.

Yup! But we can imagine spending it. Not everyone gets the checks, depending on their income.

I love it so much. I haven't done it yet but I'm going to. My friends have been posting the fun cocktails and the creative way restaurants have been making it work...adult capri suns. Bottling cocktails. Mason jars.

For those whose cruise is still on - Anyone else stuck at home thinking about when we can move past this all and pondering big cruise planner purchases??? You know, stuff you wouldn't normally purchase? A drink package, a cabana, the dining package? Basically, what you're gonna splurge on when this is all over?

NY the liquor stores are open. Also - our restaurants are selling curbside pickup cocktails/beer/wine with your food pickup. It's kinda awesome and it keeps restaurants in business.

Old fashioned's are my favorite. I now make with rye at home.
