  1. I’m going to the eye doctor today in north Florida and they require a mask. I’m going to Publix afterwards and I’ll see if masks are still required. My daughter is getting married in central Florida in 3 weeks. As far as we know, masks are still required in the chapel but not at the reception venue.
  2. His issue is you should not have to prove you’re vaccinated to go to a baseball game or walk into a grocery store. He’s talking about participating in everyday life should not require proof you’ve been vaccinated.
  3. But I’ll go if I have too! Lol Anyone else have cruises in the app you’re not booked on? The 3 I am booked on are there but so is this Adventure sailing, complete with calendar, deck plans etc.
  4. I hope so very soon. My daughter is getting married at Rollins chapel end of May and right now we have to wear masks coming down the aisle. ?
  5. The EO that DeSantis signed says businesses cannot ASK if you’ve been vaccinated. It says nothing about requiring/not requiring vaccine. It’s simply an order to protect your private health information. Regardless it is at odds with what he wants though.
  6. @twangster do you think Grandeur would possibly end up with Pullmantur? Last I heard they were reorganizing and taking 2 Celebrity ships. Sailings to possibly start December of 2021. https://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/23950-pullmantur-could-mount-comeback-with-two-celebrity-ships.html
  7. So here’s my experience: had a May 2020 Symphony. Took the 125% on board credit which came to $1835. We had purchased CocoCay beach club, DBP and UDP. That was it. Applied it to an October 2020 Symphony and was able to purchase all with a nice chunk left over. Cancelled so..... Applied to May 2021 Symphony and was able to add 2 excursions with about $300 left over. Cancelled so.... Applied to October 2021 Symphony and I’m finding that extra 25% is being eaten up quickly. Bottom line: prices are up. If you have a 125% OBC apply it sooner rather than later because it appears your dollar is not going as far as it used too. If you’re wavering on purchasing, I’d sure as heck get the stuff you know you want. When our Odyssey for this October out of Rome was cancelled, I cancelled all my CP stuff before they announced and all $2,138.66 was on my next month’s cc statement as a credit. Refunds are coming much faster.
  8. Party Smart works pretty well. Herbal pill you take before bed. Prevention is key though but we all slip up every now and then. My worst cruise ship hangover was debarkation morning on oasis. Those 4 chocolate martinis and 3 glasses of wine the day before made for an unpleasant end to an awesome week.
  9. Hoping it’s on Odyssey. Although CATs could certainly go. Have never seen it and don’t want to! Hairspray was on oasis first time I sailed her and that was great. Next 2 times was Cats and skipped it.
  10. You really can’t go wrong with either. If I Fly is the tipping point, then Quantum. Both have flow rider.
  11. Here’s a great tip but don’t tell everyone ?? Use Facebook messenger to either their actual Facebook page or the Crown and Anchor Facebook page. I’ve used it twice and gotten what I need in under 2 hours.
  12. Gosh you’d think the Senator from Washington State would be eager to get Seattle revenue since it’s been burning for a year ?
  13. I also check prices all the time. I checked the after sale prices and my drink package didn’t change ($58). Ultimate Dining and CocoCay beach club both went up, significantly. Next week may bring the 45% off sale and I’ll be curious how those prices compare to the recent 35% off from last week. Royal math keeps me on my toes!
  14. Sale just ended. New sale likely to start next Wednesday
  15. So why can’t they use the parallel runway? 4L-22R? Who wants to fly into Newark anyways? ? Hey I’m a Jersey girl. I can say things like that.
  16. My friend on American Queen Steamboat just started his 4th week of cruises. Successful so far!
  17. Yes! I also believe a certain segment of our population is approaching going off the deep end. A fully vaccinated acquaintance recently posted that she and her husband finally ate at a restaurant “don’t worry! We ate outside!” These are the same people that have now been conditioned to avoid Level 4 countries and if you do visit a restaurant and eat inside or travel to a Level 4 country you’re labeled reckless and putting others in danger. It’s past ridiculous in my opinion. Life is full of choices but I fear our freedom of choice is being smothered to put it mildly.
  18. Love at Sea is of course a hallmark movie ?
  19. No it’s a scare tactic in my opinion. They had one small spike in cases 3 days ago (129), last 2 days zero cases. Sounds like a testing dump. Their numbers go from high to zero multiple times.
  20. Wow just wow. How long until St Maarten and Bermuda are on the hit list? This whole situation has reached a whole new level of ridiculousness. Waiting for Bahamas to sue our government
  21. So where/how did the Penavega’s get so rich? They’re like babies lol I got sucked into watching Love at Sea this past weekend. I swear I only watched for Harmony ?
  22. I watched it live. He was on with Maria Bartriromo at 10am yesterday (Sunday)
  23. I’ve mentioned before that I didn’t think vaccines would be required once cruises restart from the US. NCL has said they will be but Royal and Carnival have remained silent on the topic. Like you pointed out, most everyone who wants a vaccine will have gotten it by the time they restart. I guess the bigger issue is what will the individual countries/ports require? Vaccine rollout has been painfully slow in the Caribbean.
  24. Good to know. Although we’ve (me and Sharla) not to apply FCC until you have to because pain in the butt to get re-issued. I’ve moved my symphony 4 times now. This last time we moved it right before final payment/apply FCC just to keep from going through the hassle of getting it re-instated.
