  1. PG Cruiser, glad you got yours to work! The only other thing I found was to do the following, if that doesn’t work for you, Pooch: Reset Network Settings You can also try resetting the network settings if your iPhone not receiving texts for Android. Generally, faulty network settings can cause this error and you may need to reset it to default to solve the error. You can reset the network settings by going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings > Enter your passcode and the network settings will be reset to default.
  2. One other thought just came to mind. I use wifi calling all the time because we live out in the boonies near the Smoky Mtns and don’t get a signal here. Have you ever activated wifi calling with your carrier? Maybe that’s why mine works?

  4. https://www.techyuga.com/iphone-cant-send-or-receive-texts/ If your messages aren’t going to non-iPhone users, you have to make sure that MMS and SMS are both on. Apple first uses iMessage. Those won’t go to non-Apple products. So, in Settings, Messages, scroll down. Make sure that Send as SMS is toggled on, then MMS Messaging and Group Messaging below that are also toggled on. You may have to do a hard reboot for this to take affect. I get messages from all products while on the ship and on Airplane Mode, Wifi turned on, with no issues. Hope this helps.   6. Could they have upgraded you without you doing a Royal Up? People on other websites have said they were told their cabin was being changed (without their request). For those few passengers, it has meant an upgrade so far.
  7. Others have reported Royal Ups to a star suite, and all the star suite perks came with the Royal Up. Right now, the biggest Issue I see with that is for planning. There has only been a very short lead time with Royal Up ‘win’ notifications, so getting restaurant reservations, etc. may differ from someone that was able to converse with the Genie before 2-3 days out. I’m sure they will do what they can, but your mileage may vary.
  8. @skittermagoo, yes you can just upgrade yourself. We just upgraded from an OV balcony to Jr Ste yesterday. I paid the difference over the phone, and all my purchases transferred with it, no problems. It took about 10 minutes on the phone. I had a cabin picked that I wanted, by doing a mock booking, and it was a very simple process. You don’t have to do that, they can make some suggestions. If you want to let them suggest, I would have the deck plans pulled up on your device to see if the cabin is one you desire.
  9. I’m seriously considering it for any new bookings @twangster, especially as we go into retirement in a couple of years. It’s just hard letting go of something I get such a great deal of pleasure from. Hopefully, traveling more soon will mean I need someone to take care of the fine details while I just have fun.   10. Yes, I know a TA could take care of this for me if I used one. Maybe one day. For the most part, I enjoy this aspect of planning. Sick, I know. After this afternoon, I have decided that I am not supposed to upgrade to the ‘larger balcony’ OV. I have called RCI 6 times today, and three times ended up in a dead zone after listening to the recording about sailing again (I can say it word for word with him now), and pressing 4, then 2. Nothing, nada, no one home. Three other times, I’ve gotten connected with a rep only to have the call drop because the connection was beyond awful. Each time was before they could check on the small price difference. So, maybe this is my sign to not move cabins. I don’t need a deeper balcony anyway. I can just throw that paltry sum away in the casino. All that aside, for those of you who do call, any tips or suggestions for connecting with a rep that is not located somewhere with abysmal wifi calling? Connecting with a rep that has decent wifi seems to be harder for me this week than it ever has been before. This was throughout the afternoon to early evening. Thanks for any input in advance.

  20. This. Otherwise, you will want to do what we did once. We were upgraded at the port after we checked our luggage. We stalked the deck our old cabin was on, and grabbed our luggage when it was put in the hallway. It felt like we were stealing luggage.
  21. Yeah, I have three in my account, and all three are greyed out. Must be having issues. A way around this is to find one of your many RCI emails about the sales, and click on the link in the email. I got one this morning, and when I clicked on it, I was taken into the planner, was able to make choices there.
