  1. Exactly what I was going to say. We are doing the same thing on our next cruise and have my wife and I spread across two rooms, but in reality, the kids will be in one room and us in the other.
  2. One question...did you try the Tidal Wave slide?
  3. KLA is correct. You will need to be properly dressed for dinner in the main dining room, regardless of Halloween or not. Of course, you could elect to dine somewhere else (like the Windjammer) for that one evening.
  4. Thanks for sharing the reviews, and the stories!
  5. To that point, RC has demonstrated they are okay re-doing their ships to meet the market needs (i.e. changing Johnny Rockets on Quantum of the Seas to be a noddle place).
  6. Antigua: Grab a taxi once off the ship and go to Valley Church beach: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2015/06/12/excursion-focus-valley-church-beach-antigua St. Maarten: I recommend also getting a taxi and negotiating a deal for the day. There are a lot of little things to do, although you could easily just go to Orient Beach and spend the day there. Marigot offers good shopping and dining, Maho Beach is that beach with all the planes landing super low, and Phillipsburg has more shopping. Barbados: I recommend a tour. St. Kitts: I did a train tour, which was certainly unique. Was not the best excursion I ever did, but if you want a break from beaches, this is a good one: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2016/05/23/excursion-focus-caribbean-scenic-railway-tour-st-kitts
  7. Not sure about your sailing, but it should be there. If it's not yet, keep checking back. Essentially, you either reserve online or reserve on the ship. http://www.royalcaribbean.com/shoreExcursions/product/detail/view.do?ProductCode=ZL26&DestinationCode=
  8. Yes they do: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/shoreExcursions/product/detail/view.do?sourcePage=shorexByPort&ProductCode=FYD2&DestinationCode=
  9. Yes, the cover charge at a specialty restaurant is supposed to include the increased food costs, as well as gratuity.
  10. It's good info, just because it clues us in on how the other deployments (like Oasis 4) will all fit. Granted, the info J_Keeble received was from a stateroom attendant (not quite CEO-level info  ), but this thread is all about rumors! IF Oasis is going to China (or anywhere outside of USA), I wonder what will replace Oasis of the Seas in Port Canaveral. Her deployment there in the first place is a big deal.
  11. Here are the details on this deal, which has been extended through the end of today: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2016/10/07/spotted-royal-caribbean-offering-30-drink-packages-weekend
  12. Great post, donlog! I agree with everything you said. In short, do not buy the art because of the appraisal value or as an investment. Buy it because it is something you think would like nice in your home.
  13. Have you considered Hilton Rose Hall all inclusive resort?
  14. I suggest asking him in the comments for his blog post, if you want an answer quicker. He will eventually read this thread
  15. You are correct. Canaveral is now open, but RC wanted to get guests moving and on their way home. I think they made the right decision but it's rare to have that situation.
  16. Not sure where you live (I am assuming Australia or somewhere in Asia based on the itinerary), but the cruise line nor the agency you booked through are not at fault. There are promotions all the time, BOGO 50% off, 60% off second guest, kids sail free, etc. Thing is, the base fare can change at any time and you did do the right thing by booking very far in advance. Here in the USA, if there is a new promotion, you can cancel and re-book under the new promotion but will be under the new base rate and booking promotions available. Nowhere in the world, does the cruise line allow you to take an existing booking and tack-on a new promotion on top of it. Not sure why CruiseCo did not issue you a reservation number. I have always used a travel agent and gotten my booking number immediately. My honest advice is give RC another chance, albeit try a different agency if you are not happy with the one you used. I would tell the agency exactly the issues you encountered here so they can assist you better with your next one.
  17. US dollars pretty much everywhere. Don't bother with pesos. Occasionally I have gotten change in pesos, but this is quite rare.
  18. That's the quote in my head, so why not share it here, right?
