  1. I didn't see it either, but I was only on a couple of quick cruises last year. Will look for them in July Here is a photo from Allure
  2. 1. Here's a good overview of what to wear on a cruise: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2016/08/13/first-time-cruisers-what-clothing-do-i-wear-my-royal-caribbean-cruise 2. Hair dryer, yes. Iron, no. My wife says the hair dryer that is provided stinks, so bring your own. 3. Can't help you with those snorkeling ideas. St. Thomas is great for the beach, if nothing else. 4. The Solarium on Harmony is an adults only area. There is no pool, but plenty of lounge chairs
  3. Feel free to ask your questions. You don't have to ask to ask a question here
  4. I assume you booked directly with RC and not with a TA? If it were me, I'd just call RC and ask. I'm not entirely certain the reasoning.
  5. The issue I think you are running into is rooms that can accommodate a third passenger are larger rooms, and different pricing than a room that is just 1 or 2 guests. I have 2 kids, so we often deal with this issue as well. The newer ships seem to have more options than some of the older ships. When you look at the price breakdown, the cost of the third passenger should be lower than the first two. If you can time things with a Kids Sail Free deal or the current 30% off third and fourth passengers, it can help as well.
  6. If all else fails, look in the Cruise Compass when North Star is operating and arrive 15 minutes before it's slated to initially open.
  7. If I were you, I'd ask for one more quote: two rooms. Whether it's two inside rooms, or some other category, I am a big fan of having two rooms instead of one room for a family of 4. You get extra space, separation from the kids and an extra full bathroom.
  8. If you have an appointment, you get to bypass those people. Also, NextCruise is far less busy in the first few days of the cruise.
  9. I believe local laws in the UK do not allow for the same kind of pricing changes we have in USA. If I were you, I'd ask your travel agent about if its possible.
  10. You can ask. Technically the rule is they have to be 3 AND fully potty trained.
  11. It used to be on room service menu. If it is available at WJ, it's at one of the buffet stations ready to go.
  12. RC had something like that. I used it once or twice. Not certain if it's still around if you want to book a specific sailing. I can tell you that if you make a reservation with NextCruise and know what you want to book, the whole thing takes maybe 5-10 minutes.
  13. The shower has a hand-held shower head, so you one parent could shower with them and let the kid(s) sit on the ground. Or you could just leave them on the ground and pull the shower head down to apply water when washing them. If a tub is a big deal, Junior Suites and above have them.
  14. RC does it automatically. Each day, they will charge each person the gratuity rate. There's nothing special you have to do, and the gratuity will be delivered automatically.
  15. All the time. I do it all the time. You should feel no guilt. The individual servings tend to be on the small side.
  16. I think your last sentence nails it. Personally, I think you're wasting your money on the AT&T package if you already have Voom, but then again, you have to sleep at night and if it makes you feel better to "have it in your back pocket," then that makes sense to me.
  17. Welcome! Never apologize for asking questions. That's what this forum is all about. Possibly, but it may not be available at all. Keep in mind that you can always book the 2 night package, and then cancel and rebook the first night done right package later if it becomes available. Outside of the specialty dining packages, were you planning or thinking of eating at 3 specialty restaurants? They both will save you money, just a question of if you want to dine at 2 or 3 restaurants. For specialty restaurants, like Sabor or Giovanni's Table? More or less. Chops has a restriction to 1 entree per guest, but all allow for more than 1 appetizer, side dishes and dessert. In my experience, Giovannis and Sabor allow for as much as you want. Jamie's Italian, 150 Central Park or Chops Grille are wonderful. There is no hard and fast rule as to when that will appear for booking. Keep checking back periodically.
  18. Welcome! Here's a good overview of picking a first cruise and itinerary. I think this will serve as a great starting off point: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2016/01/04/royal-caribbean-itinerary-recommendations-first-time-cruisers Don't worry about excursions until after you book the cruise. Ditto for the drink package. The drink package can be a money saving value, but it depends on you. Here's what to consider: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2016/09/15/should-you-buy-royal-caribbeans-unlimited-alcohol-package
  19. No, there's no option for that
  20. Your NextCruise Booking may be cancelled. If you booked a Grand Suite or higher, your deposit is nonrefundable. If you booked a Junior Suite or lower, your Deposit and any further payments you make will be refundable if you cancel prior to the commencement of cancellation charges under the applicable Royal Caribbean International cancellation schedule applicable in your country of residence.
