  1. You have to go to Valley Church Beach in Antigua: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2015/06/12/excursion-focus-valley-church-beach-antigua
  2. Sorry to hear about your camera. What are the odds! That grab and go food idea is wonderful!
  3. Welcome! I'd recommend trying MEI Travel, which is our sponsor and official travel partner of this site. You can get a free, no obligation quote here: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/want-quote-your-cruise I've used them for years and love them!
  4. Really sorry to hear this has impacted you. The next update is supposed to include info on compensation. In my experience, you will get some form of money back and/or cruise credit.
  5. Looks like a great day in Grand Cayman! How's the air temperatures been during your cruise? Warm enough for swimming?
  6. I'd be guessing, but I would be more surprised if they did not offer it, than if they did.
  7. I think your TA is right. Stay with traditional dining, because it will be much easier to manage with a large group.
  8. It depends on the severity of the symptoms. They usually have someone talk to you after to evaluate you. In most cases, it's a cold and not warranted to deny boarding. That survey is aimed at keeping people with really contagious viruses from getting onboard.
  9. Dont forget even if you can access the ports physically, you still need to be able to change the TV's inputs, which is not provided by the in-room remote.
  10. Thanks Billy. That was easier than me searching for the app you mentioned earlier! I call it "Let Billy Google It For Me"
  11. Was this a pro-active move? Or were you already feeling the effects? The only cruise we've experienced sea sickness was on Brilliance a few years ago.
  12. This thought goes through my mind every day.
  13. If it's true, 10 days is a very short refurbishment time. Likely all they will have time for is regular maintenance (as opposed to adding new features).
  14. Post it in the Royal Caribbean Discussion board. Thanks!
  15. Thanks for sharing! It looks like they still have the "old" MDR menu. Makes my decision to buy a dining package seem better now. I salute your coffee ice cream choice!
  16. I'm not sure I was aware of that either. Good catch!
  17. Exactly. Like all insurance, it's all about your risk tolerance. I went years without even thinking about it. Seemed like a waste, and I never ran into a situation needing it. Now that we're (slightly) older, I feel like we've become more prone to the sort of minor medical issues that affect a lot of adults. I decided my risk tolerance is being exceeded, and I would sleep easier knowing I could go to the medical facility if I needed to, without worrying about a gargantuan bill. The last thing I want to do is debate if I want to get medical assistance to feel better, or suck it up and save money. It's an agonizing decision, especially when you feel poorly. I still firmly believe that travel insurance is not for everyone. It really depends on your health situation, your risk tolerance, and your travel habits. There is no set answer for everyone, but that answer can also change over time.
  18. Definitely accurate that dinner is nothing like breakfast in the Windjammer. The appeal of the Windjammer for dinner is two fold: You don't have to dress up The sheer variety of food Dinner is when you see the greatest variety of food in the Windjammer, and it seems to also be the most creative. There are special themes on some nights, cooking stations, etc.
  19. You still might be too far out for those to appear. Keep checking back, especially in the Spring or early Summer.
  20. Welcome to the boards! Feel free to ask specific questions to get some better feedback on how you can improve or enhance your upcoming cruise. There is a great communal knowledge base here to discover!
