Don't let this kind of a maintenance issue get to you. It's certainly better than finding out during the sailing. You'll still have a great time!

Wacky Website again- or is everything booked?
Matt replied to Boston Babe's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Definitely sounds like the problem with the site is similar to some ex-girlfriends. "It's them, not you" -
That is terrific, thank you for your support! Really great to hear about the excellent service! I love the "talks us away from the cliff" idea ?
-
It's a good price in the sense it is going to be cheaper than the price onboard the ship.

Website Maintenance - RCI + Celebrity
Matt replied to twangster's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
Did you try different web brow... *reads this was posted by twangster* I stand corrected. -
I just assumed the distinction between the day names for the same port was a website glitch. This is for March 2020, and Perfect Day at CocoCay is scheduled to officially be done by November 2019.

If I run across any, I'll be sure to post on the blog

In my opinion, at a certain point in your life spending $100 for comfort is sooo worth it. I say go with your heart and book the slightly more expensive option in Fort Lauderdale. Your sanity and anxiety level are worth at least a hundred bucks.

Nicely done!

Direct flight. Always. Thank me later.

It looks like there's going to be itineraries with more than one stop at CocoCay. Schedule shows it's not overnight in the sense you can get off the ship at night, but I like the idea!
-
We don't know for sure, but RC tends to do things around the same time every year. Historically, new itineraries are released in Feb/March timeframe. In 2017, they split it up and announced some in November 2017, and the rest in Feb/March 2018. Thus, summer 2020 could be released somewhere between November 2018 - March 2019. I will of course post on RoyalCaribbeanBlog.com any info I get as soon as I have it.
-
For those wondering, it looks like the new pier being added to CocoCay will not be ready by September 14, 2018. Here's a letter sent to a travel agent that was forwarded to someone going on a September Empress of the Seas cruise.

Thanks. If I can help it, I try to use that option to give folks a heads up.

Mariner of the Seas - What to Expect?
Matt replied to DisneyWorld30th's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
As a follow up, Navigator does have a reserved pool chair area so I imagine Mariner does too. It's the yellow chairs near the Sky Bar -
Mariner of the Seas - What to Expect?
Matt replied to DisneyWorld30th's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I was trying to remember if that was a thing on Voyager class. I want to say yes, but I'm not entirely certain. I think they had a section like that on Navigator, because I remember sitting in that area once just for the principle of it and I don't think we've ever stayed in a suite on Freedom class. -
You can certainly ask, but I wouldn't expect anything. Used car dealers, they are not ?
-
Can you post a photo of the letter? Seems odd to be getting a notice like this so far in advance

Mariner of the Seas - What to Expect?
Matt replied to DisneyWorld30th's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
That's right. The Royal Suite Class is only on Oasis and Quantum class ships. You will still get Concierge lounge access Complimentary room service (plus access to MDR food to be delivered to your room) Upgraded bathroom toiletries Priority embarkation and disembarkation There is no suite deck on Mariner -

Perfect Day at Coco Cay = Nickle & Dime??
Matt replied to NeonD7's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Based on the pricing we've seen so far, I don't think its egregious at all. In fact, their prices are lower than I was expecting. Look at how much Atlantis charges for its water park passes, as a good example. At the end of the day, this represents choices. There will still be plenty of beach to go to and plop down and enjoy like you always have. If you want to spring for a cabana or water park pass or ride on the helium balloon, you can do that. I think it's better to have those choices rather than RC roll the costs into everyone's cruise fare and then you pay for experiences you aren't going to be using. I cannot wait to see what the finished product looks like -
I love that "just booked a cruise and now I want to tell the world because I'm super excited" feeling!

Wow, thanks so much to all of you for all of your support. I love reading not only that you've booked cruises with our sponsor, but more importantly have gotten great service from them too!
