  1. That's some good savings! That's a pretty good price!
  2. I thought same thing. We're going back for the first time since 2010 and it's incredible to see how much as changed.
  3. @Suzanne I merged your post here to make one thread for covering all of this.
  4. Wow, incredible. I'm surprised you're able to drone in Port Everglades, considering the airport is like 20 feet away.
  5. Despite the word "suite" in its name, a Junior Suite is really just "a really large balcony". There are some small perks to enjoy in a JS. Priority embarkation/disembarkation, double C&A points, bath tub, etc. Here's a good look at what JS gets you: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2016/07/26/royal-caribbeans-junior-suites-what-you-need-know
  6. Thank you for sharing this. This is potentially big news. I've reached out to RC to see if I can get an idea of scope....is this going to be the policy indefinitely? A month? Just today?
  7. Do you mean if you are past final payment date? Or do you mean if you pay off your cruise early?
  8. I'm sorry this has negatively impacted you. I believe you are also entitled to a full refund if the rebooking options aren't to your liking.
  9. If you booked a refundable cruise fare and you are before final payment date, then yes, you could cancel and rebook. I think it's more common to switch travel agencies between cruises, but if you see a need early enough, sure. You deserve to have great service. Not all travel agencies are run the same way. The key word I try to emphasize is to use a good travel agent who works for you to to get your best possible deal and help you along the way with concerns.
  10. Yes, you can cancel and rebook any pre-cruise purchase without calling RC. Here's how: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2016/10/29/how-cancel-and-rebook-pre-cruise-purchases-royal-caribbeans-cruise-planner
  11. I have not heard of any kind of celebration for a ship's birthday. Maybe a special cake in the Windjammer? I certainly wouldn't expect anything.
  12. Did you get off the ship in Roatan? If so, what did you do?
  13. So you lose $250 OBC, but gain back $210 in fare savings + $100 OBC ($310 total worth). If that math is correct, you're better off in the long run with new price.
  14. Take advantage of the sale, even if you are unsure. You can always cancel before the cruise without penalty.
  15. A new sale began today, so might have something to do with it.
  16. That's awesome! We had a guide on a tour in Bermuda do something similar. It's incredible to smell these spices like that.
  17. The nighttime photos are worth the click alone!
  18. The only pubs to offer food at the pubs on Quantum Class ships and Playmakers (when it opens on Indy and Symphony)
  19. Photo evidence that Twangster is not a robot....or at least a robot that emits a human like shadow
  20. Def same port. Here's the photo from Navigator in 2014
  21. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't we know all this info of the changes coming to Indy already? Here's a deck-by-deck look at the changes from December: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2017/12/16/deck-deck-drydock-changes-royal-caribbeans-independence-of-the-seas Then again, it's hard enough keeping track of everything happening
  22. If you are a suite guests, Concierge should email you about a week or so before your cruise.
  23. Yes, some is provided. Yes, you can bring your own and are NOT limited to any size in ounces. That's a TSA/FAA rule, not a cruise rule.
  24. So glad to hear that! Thank you for your support of our sponsor.
