Learning How to Play Slot Machine Games
Matt replied to letscruise's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
You could ask the casino host for assistance in explaining it. Slots are pretty easy, it's just a matter of understanding how to change your bet, how to trigger the bonus, etc. Every slot machine has a nuance of how it plays, but they're all video games in essence. -
Flying Tel Aviv to Newark and then another 5 hours to Seattle? I'm exhausted just thinking about it!

Yes yes, applies if opened in a restaurant or bar. In reality, it's rarely enforced. But it could be. Waiter can bring over a bucket of ice

Air2Sea "sale" on European/Alaskan airfare

I wonder if that's for 2024 or 2023. -
First and foremost, check out our Alaska guide at https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/alaska-cruises It has a lot of links to helpful info you'll need.

No, it means you'll pay whatever the posted price is now, but Royal won't charge you a change fee because you booked non-refundable deposit.

Flying into PBI instead of FLL or MIA for a cruise?
Matt replied to Lovetocruise2002's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
PBI is a great airport to fly in/out, but it's significantly north of FLL/MIA. -
Thank you for posting these!

When you say you paid for an upgrade, did you call Royal or your travel agent to book a room specifically? Or did you get an upgrade opportunity email (AKA Royal Up) to bid for an upgrade?

Welcome to the message boards!

If you want to pick specific rooms, then you cannot book a guarantee (aka "we pick your room"). You must select for both rooms the "pick your own room" option. Otherwise, it's random which rooms you get.

It depends on the person there. You risk showing up and being told to stand in a queue outside and wait to your time. It's very hit or miss as to if they enforce the check in times or not.

The reason to get a drink package if you're staying in a suite is because you dont think you'll spend much time there. If you're the type of person that will gravitate towards other venues that have entertainment, like the pub, casino or the shows, you'll either have to constantly run back and forth to deck 17 to get a drink or pay out of pocket for drinks. Some people spend a lot of time in the suite lounge and that works for them.

Welcome to the message boards! Royal Caribbean Drink Prices No, just wine (or champagne, which is sparkling wine). No beer, no vodka. Soda is allowed https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2020/09/04/what-food-or-drinks-youre-allowed-bring-royal-caribbean-cruise Yes. Prices are duty free, but I've found many times you can get better deals on land at Wal mart or favorite liquor store. YMMV

Welcome to the message boards! Do the B2B on Allure and then go on Mariner for 5 nights! Problem solved.

Royal doesn't sell their merchandise off the ship. You might try eBay.
-
I really think when Royal says "land vacations" they mean Walt Disney World. Maybe Las Vegas, but less so because of how variable that pricing can be.

Oh they read them. There's more than enough anecdotal data of someone putting something in survey and getting a followup later (not always, but it happens). Moreover, crew talk about how impactful surveys are on their career. Whether or not your survey has a meaningful impact on changing policy is another matter, but they definitely do read them.

Homewood Suites Ft Lauderdale Airport-Cruise Port Hotel?
Matt replied to jbrinkm's topic in Other travel
This is my favorite Fort Lauderdale cruise port hotel: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2022/10/03/marriott-fort-lauderdale-airport-hotel-review It's close to both cruise port and airport, has shuttle service to airport, brand new, clean, close walk to Dania Pointe attractions and dining -
Shout out to RC's customer service on a very last minute issue

I believe it's right around 48 hours for a name change. At least one name from original reservation needs to remain on the reservation.
