  1. Past hour
  2. Did you like the panna cotta ? I think it’s so good !
  3. Day 7: PDCC, Bahamas Wow, the last day has arrived… I woke up early again to take pics of the pool decks and PDCC. I started on Deck 17 and worked my way down to Deck 15. The one thing I do not care for is the layout of some of the pool decks on Icon. There are so many dead ends and areas that can only be accessed by certain doors or from certain elevator towers. It took us some time to get used to it! The sports court is to the right and access to Cloud 17 is to the right… When you exit to Cloud 17 and the pool deck here, you walk through the smoking section. Super Mario’s “office” is roped off and to the right of the folks smoking outside (just a table and a couple of chairs). His table moved around throughout our sailing within the smoking section. The Cloud 17 pool which was originally the 18+ pool until they made the Hideaway adults only. I can’t imagine this small pool and small section of Deck 17 as the adult area. Next I went down one level to Deck 16… A bunch of pics of Thrill Island… I caught up with Christine and we stopped for Starbuck’s in the Pearl Cafe and had breakfast again in the Surfside Eatery before disembarking for PDCC! Bedtime once again… I’ll try to wrap up Day 7 tomorrow!
  4. Are you working with a travel agent? I can see on the RC website that it says wedding requests should be submitted at least 90 days in advance. I am not sure why you booked a cruise without having all the wedding arrangements underway as well. Just because in your head you were planning for over a year does not mean that deposits were made, people were notified, licenses were obtained, etc., in the appropriate timely fashion. Patiently waiting for a return call until time runs out sadly means nothing happens... Unfortunately, unless you can find some way to expedite all of this (a travel agent?) you may just have to get married before you cruise and use the trip as a honeymoon. I would tell the RC planner you are flexible, and would be willing to marry on the ship rather than the beach if that will help meet your deadline. Good luck, and I hope everything works out.
  5. 12 more days for us. It looks huge compared to the Giovanni’s Table version but I have to get it. Also part of the plan. Not sure how else you’re supposed to try it with everything else.
  6. We are on Wonder right now and there is a wedding party onboard. We were on Allure last week and there was a wedding party onboard there too. Is there a phone number you can call where you can talk to a person?
  7. I hope so. It seems like a fun dining experience. We took the auto train a couple of times from Virginia to Florida and enjoyed the dining car. It was nothing fancy but to me it felt like fine dining, lol.
  8. I have Giovanni in August. We are getting everything your brother has. Royal should use him in their specialty ads.
  9. Today
  10. Day 8 PDCC for the 3rd time. Celebrity reflection was here at PDCC. It really threw me for a loop because I was discombobulated and was like I thought Nassau was Wed. My brother got off and watched the birds be aggressive and the newbies brand new. He said so many people just left their plates and the birds tried their hardest to snatch them, creating a mess for the crew. He went to the library and worked while I napped. Then we showered and hung out in the Crown Lounge until 6:30. They have served the same food, every day of the 3 cruises. Maybe one item changes but most don't. We then went to get a couple of prime drinks. The casino was dead. I counted maybe 15 people actively playing. I chatted with a couple of people and they complained the machines were tight. My anecdotal evidence says the 3n cruises have the loosest slots. There's less time to play and they want to entice folks. Then we headed to Giovanni's which was fairly empty at 7:30. I think over half the tables in the front as empty. The dinner did not disappoint, it was the reprieve we needed. My brother is a former vegetarian who doesn't eat red meat or pork. So I had a meatball Gigante as my app. Way too much meat. I had Alfredo for dinner and the Panna cotta. They gave us a plank as well, it mostly went to waste as I neither of us ate the meats. But my brother ate......like ate . We got a pizza to go. They brought me a birthday cake slice, but I told them not to sing. Now we are just chilling in the room.
  11. At least the photo on the app shows several guys and none have a sport coat/jacket on, definitely looks less formal than Empire Super Club (though the server in the picture seems have similar/same uniform as ESC) Also only 5 course, so less than ESC and mentions biscuits and short ribs vs ESC highlighting Wagu and caviar -so hoping pricing will be at least little less. Obviously not cheap lol
  12. why is the 7 minute blackout still trending?
  13. Yesterday
  14. Hello All About 2 months away now for my wedding cruise. I have been planning this since August 2023. R.C. referred me to The Wedding Experience filled out their questionnaire form and spoke to them 1X and said they were going to keep in touch. I have not heard back, sent them a follow up email with their email replay on 5/7/24 saying they are no longer be servicing weddings for Royal Caribbean for Weddings taking place starting April 1, 2024 to contact The Royal Celebrations which now takes me to step 1 all over again. Making a phone appointment with a bridal coordinator (which the 1st appt. is 6/6/24). This is a bit of a shock for me how Royal Caribbean Wedding department is taking care of their passengers/customers. All I want is a beautiful destination wedding by the beach in St. Thomas. Any suggestions??
  15. We checked in, at lunch at Izumi (it was open!), and then got off the ship, took the FREE shuttle to the Alaska Sealife Center. Just treat it like a port day and get back an hour and a half before sail away.
  16. On our April Harmony cruise, there were two comedians each doing a set in The Attic and then they did a 'late night adult only' show the theater (which I missed). I only saw them once, so I cannot say if they change their act. If they did, it is probably only slightly.
  17. Back in the day of having a different comedian come on board half way through the cruise was December 2023 for me
  18. Yes, it’s crazy! They usually sell for $500 and up for the day from what I remember in the CP. I agree… I would never pay that much for zero shade and to be surrounded by people in a crowded pool in the afternoon. No privacy or shade. Much rather have a casita onboard or a cabana on land.
  19. A pretty good drone show for the return of Spectrum .
  20. I just googled it, and it said 30 minutes from LGB to the hotel.
  21. LA traffic is extreme. I took an uber at 3 and it took 45 minutes if I recall. It will depend on when you arrive.
  22. Yes Navigator. Probably Long Beach airport. Looking at the Doubletree. So should it take very long to get from the cruise port to Long Beach airport on a friday ?
  23. Yes you can book as much as you want. From what I have experienced I went to the same comedian on the ship on different nights and the guy had the same set for the show. They have the same comedians throughout the cruise. Back in the day they use to fly new ones into ports and switch them out, but it seems like now they stay on a ship for a few months and then move around. You can also go in the stand-by line and usually get a seat, but it is free to book all the shows so do as many as you want.
