It may have something to do with when you purchased your UDP. Perhaps old purchases aren't eligible to make reservations but new ones are. In that case, you might have to cancel and repurchase the UDP but at current prices. If you got it cheap, it might be best to leave it alone and play by the old rules.

Adventure Club - Parents off Ship
Atlantix2000 replied to Scotsman's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Can you leave your children on the ship? Yes. Should you? That's a more difficult personal question. Consider the possibility of missing the ship. Now your children are spending the night alone. Remember that ship-sponsored excursions promise to get you back to the ship but that does NOT mean the ship will wait for you. It means Royal will get you to the ship even if it means flying you to the next port at their expense. And what if the next day is a sea day? They'll put you up at a hotel and fly you to the next port. Personally, I would want to leave at least one adult from the group/family on the ship just in case. -
Hi everyone, Just wanted to share a quick recommendation—especially for any fellow UK cruisers who usually book direct with Royal (like I always have!). For our Caribbean cruise next year, I decided to try using a US-based travel agent for the first time and booked through MEI Travel. I was connected with Becky, and she’s been absolutely brilliant. Not only has she answered all my many questions quickly and clearly, she’s also worked with Royal on our behalf—securing the best location, applying discount codes, and handling our future cruise credits. She really knows her stuff. One big benefit I didn’t realise before: booking through a US travel agent gives you access to refundable deposits, which we can’t get here in the UK. Plus, they monitor your cruise price and will automatically reprice if it drops—again, not something available to us normally when booking direct from the UK. Another example: we wanted 7:30pm dining, which I thought would mean going with My Time Dining, but Becky let us know Royal has recently added a third traditional dining time—and she got us booked into that with a table request already in. All in all, I’m really impressed and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend MEI Travel. It’s been a far smoother, more personalised experience than I’ve had before, and I’m confident we’ve got the best deal too. Happy sailing! Darren

I'm pretty sure Royal Caribbean has conditioned me to expect exorbitant prices because the pricing seems relatively reasonable, especially if you get one of the $200/$150 days. I'm glad that they included a non-alcoholic option for those who don't drink much or at all. Excited to see what it looks like when it's completed and what the food options are -

Also, I have a bunch of Coastal Kitchen food pics if they will help you out in the future. Hit me up. -

@PG CruiserThanks for this!!! What a labor of love! Just so you get some kind of tangible acknowledgment (or at least some acknowledgement that the project is helpful), Your guide has coaxed us to try SEVERAL dishes that weren't on our radar like the Beet Salad and Lamb Wellington from CP150, Playmakers Onion Ring Tower, and a bunch of other dishes we weren't thinking of prior to our last sailing to the Bahamas. - Today

Same prices for us on 4 night Utopia in Feb 2026. We'll be staying on the ship. -

So disappointed, we are scheduled to be in Nassau on the 26th of December! We miss it by ONE day. -

I'll be curious what pricing is like for Bahamas residents, since they can get in, too. -
Right, but my question really becomes this: Why not cancel and rebook as a solo cruiser now? You have to eventually pay for someone who is not going. By "you" I mean someone has to pay right? If you get out and rebook now, you end up saving money (I think) on your no-show mate's cruise fare and can use that money for your DBP without having to worry about the second cruiser right? Am I missing something?

Thanks everyone for the input. Looking forward to seeing what Celebrity has to offer!

Definitely. That’s our spring break time next year (wife is a teacher). -
Not really sure what this scenario is. The cruise is in November right? Your post makes it seem that your "mate" is most-likely going to be a no show. Is this correct? Have you fully paid for the cruise? I guess what I am getting at is why are you paying for a no show guest? I may be missing something but if you cancel that guest reservation and be a solo cruiser, then you have no issue right? I dunno. Its early in the morning for me and I haven't had enough coffee yet to fully understand forum posts.

My March 13th Cruise on vision to Nassau is $250/$200. I guess that maybe could be considered spring break time?
