Andy & Sheryl Unwin Posted September 19 Report Posted September 19 A thought occurred to me. If both people in a couple attain Prime, they are each eligible for Casino offers. Theoretically, each could make a booking but invite someone else. Onboard, the +1 could then join their own partner in a cabin, but that leaves a challenge in updating sea passes. Any thoughts ? WAAAYTOOO Posted September 19 Report Posted September 19 I’ve known lots of folks who have done this, but we never have. Frankly, I’m not sure how they handle the Sea Passes and associated expenses. I guess as long as everyone has their own, individual credit card registered, that should take care of the expenses….and getting extra “access only” sea pass cards from GS should take care of the cabin access….but I’m guessing. Thanks, that makes sense. I was wracking my brain trying to figure it out. I never knew there was such a thing as "Access Only" sea passes. WAAAYTOOO 1 Quote

Ampurp85 Posted September 20 Report Posted September 20 So currently in the situation. I booked 2 people under my brother's casino comp. Then booked myself separately. My brother is in my room. We went to guest services day one to get extra room key. Everything he charges is under him but attached to that room. No real issues other than telling the room steward. Quote
Pattycruise Posted September 20 Report Posted September 20 I had 2 cabins via comps my husband and I had. you can go to guest services when you board and ask to switch people and get new keys. No need for extra keys and someone having to have 2 keys. . drawback-any pre determined gifts (like my 3 bottles of pinnacle wine) -will be delivered to my original cabin-so if I’m the one that moved out of my original cabin they (room service) do not update their delivery order locations. Bathrobes were delivered to wrong cabin. Cheese platter wrong cabin etc. I believe the app may not have updated the cabin changes (can’t recall if it caused an issue). Be sure to check your card on file stays on your file. my last sailing I refused to change my cabin and made hubby and my daughter get extra keys so they could swap rooms. It was a real PITA for them. If we did that again I’d get a second extra key for the other cabin to leave on the vanity so when they forget the extra (new) key for their ‘new’ room they could at least get into their original room to get the second spare. (We were only 2 doors down thankfully) btw, 2 people in a relationship but sailing in 2 different cabins = only the top C&A points earner gets the gifts. One sailing the loyalty ambassador had not realized hubby and I were in a relationship and had 2 separate cabins so we each received gifts. I guess the real lesson-whoever is the primary point earner is where pinnacle (or other level)gifts get delivered-so that person should keep their cabin and have the other spouse move. I guess if I ever have the opportunity to do this again I’ll do it this way. WAAAYTOOO and billdauterive 2 Quote

Interesting. I hadn't thought about what would happen in that scenario until now. Thanks. Pattycruise 1 Quote
