bcrazycramer
This is our first cruise with Royal Caribbean. I was thinking my wife and I would get the Classic Soda Package, but I'm wondering about my 9 and 11 year old. If we purchase a water bottle, can it be refilled? - Brandon
melski94
You can refill a water bottle with water or I bring my own water bottle and refill it. You have to use cups to refill the bottles...it is unsanitary to refill the bottle directly.
mworkman
Just get the Delux Drink package for those kids...they will enjoy it and thank you later ???? RestingBird, Rose City Cruiser, rjac and 2 others
Rose City Cruiser
I always bring one of those mixer bottles when I travel. You will have to use the provided plastic cups to dispense the flavoured water and then pour it into your bottle for hygiene reasons. There are signs posted to do this but I have seen many people ignore it. On ships with the Freestyle machines, I like getting the Powerade and pour into my bottle to bring with me when I go off the ship. Lovetocruise2002
When we cruise with our kids (also 9, 11) we always bring several stainless steel water bottles for them. Then we use the provided plastic cups and empty it into our own water bottles. At the buffet and restaurants they just drink from the regular cups provided. HA!! The return on investment for that is not worth it. They will forget about the trip we just went on and go back to being 9 and 11 year olds right after we get off the ship... mom2mybugs

I see you mentioned Powerade.

Powerade is not (it is on the freestyle machine). Lemonade, some fountain fruit drinks (thinking like hi-c type fruit punch), coffee (not starbucks) tea (hot and iced) and milk are free. I'm sure someone will correct me if I goofed but I think this is pretty much it. We got the drink pkg for my 13 year old and she never ever used it... she just drank water! I'm sorry! I read your original post incorrectly. I thought you were purchasing your children the Soda Package. The Powerade are available from the Freestyle machines with any of the drink packages. You must use the complimentary Coca-Cola souvenir cup included in the drink package to operate the machines.
RestingBird
Not all of the ships have the freestyle machines.
twangster
I bring a refillable bottle with me like others mentioned, same as when I fly for work. Go through security with it empty then fill it up. I also bring a small container of dish soap to wash it daily. One of those 2oz TSA friendly shampoo type containers for flying works perfect. melski94
Free drinks include water, milk, hot tea and coffee (not premium), juice at breakfast (not fresh squeezed), ice tea, flavored water (typically at lunch). Soda in a can is about $4 so it may or may not make sense for you to buy a soda package for them.
