Ryan79
That is VERY late in the Alaska season. Pros: Cheaper and less crowded. Cons: Colder and sometimes glacier viewing isn’t accessible due to ice. In any case, you will love it. Just make sure to take in the full Alaska experience and do things that are unique to Alaska. You can zip line anywhere, but can you hike on a glacier anywhere…that sort of thing! VicB and wstephensi
Matt
Here's a great article about Alaska cruises in late season: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2021/11/16/what-its-go-alaskan-cruise-the-end-of-the-season Ryan79
Villageidiot
We sailed to Alaska the third week of September in 2021. Weather prevented us from leaving Seattle until day two and cancelled our first port stop. Every other port stop with the exception of Juneau was eventually cancelled because of weather. We did do Glacier Bay though. We found in Juneau that most facilities had already closed for the season. We had a nice spacious balcony that was mostly unusable due to rain and wind. YMMV
Linda R
Very late in season and weather will be an issue.
KJones
We did a Radiance sailing in mid-September last year. Lucked out with no rain, though it was a bit chilly. A decent number of shops/restaurants had already closed up for the season in Skagway, but there were still plenty open to browse.
Leadvocal
Went on Ovation to Alaska out of Seattle last August. Stopped at Ketchikan, Skagway, Endicott Arm & Dawes Glacier, Juneau, and Victoria, British Columbia. Weather was kind of rainy but temps were comfortable. Enjoyed mostly every second of the cruise. I say mostly because I didn't care much for Victoria. Got off the ship and pretty much right back on. Can't wait to do it again someday! BigKarl
The wife (and I) enjoyed Victoria. We booked an excursion to Butchart Gardens and the Butterfly Gardens (two Separate places). We also enjoyed just walking around the City as it was very beautiful as well.
