Sales/discounts for cruise packages

There's a sale about every 4-6 weeks.  You'll  have plenty of options. That being said, things do sell out, so if there's something you know you want (especially The Key or specialty dining packages, and Alaskan shore excursions), buy them  now. If they go down in price later you can always cancel and rebook at the lower price.

I cannot emphasize enough how quickly Alaskan shore excursions sell out.

I concur, don't bother with the percentage off.

Just look at the price and determine if you are okay with it, then continue to watch the cruise planner for price adjustments.

But also determine the value of what you are purchasing..............i.e., the Key. Your room type, location, activities threshold, etc. might not make it of value even at 40% off.

Start you a spreadsheet to track the items you are interested in.  You'll quickly learn that the so-called sale is not really a sale.  However, when you see the item, you are interested in for a price you comfortable paying...Purchase it.  Keep checking your cruise planner and tracking the prices...If you see it cheaper than what you paid, cancel and repurchase at the lower price.

Then when you're onboard add to your spreadsheet the cost of each and you'll see that the so-called sale was indeed really a sale, but there are many, almost constant sales for all of the items pre-cruise.

Just because the next sale overlaps the last doesn't mean they both weren't sales.  it does certainly mean that if you've been looking at the previous crusie planner sales, there is likely to be little to no decrease from one sale to the next.
