Jailman
Can anyone that is currently on the November 9th sailing of the Allure confirm if Starlink is up and running? If so, your thoughts on the speed?

dustfsu
I heard it is now up an running on there. Most people say it's fine, nothing to blow your mind. Royal is still throttling it down is what I heard
Matt
Yes it was running. Hard to judge on the Nov 9 sailing since they gave it to everyone, but it struggled mightily. Lots of "where did the internet go" along with just slow speeds because clearly it was oversaturated. asquared17
twangster
There may be some coverage gaps at the moment in the lower central Gulf for Galveston based Starlink ships. That should improve with time. asquared17 and Zurc 1
Zurc
November 13 cruise - in deck 8 OV balcony , approx 4 Mbps down, 1.8-2.4 Mbps up. No problem sending pics or short videos from theater, ice rink, and public areas. (Of course this was just a few hours after sail away.) I’ll update the thread around Roatan, and also on sea days. billdauterive and DJsMrs

Yikes, I can’t imagine the whole ship on internet! Hope you had fun on the 4 day, and hope your cruise was warmer than Texas on Sunday! Even worse, lots of media invites so higher than normal ratio of folks all trying to upload pics and video all capped at 2Mbps upload so the airwaves would have been jammed solid for hours. Perfect storm of bad ship internet experience. Zurc
